ya, and because things are easy we shouldn't do them and they aren't cool. you should do everything the hard way, and the hardest thing is the best.

You got all that from that? Sheesh. I just don't think it sounds quite as spread out as a 1 3 5 dim, so it sounds more like a scale than a typical arpeggio.

You should try a shred in Lydian Dominant. My favorite sounding scale by far. Still can retain that dominant feel, but tri-tones and passing tones for modulation work so much easier.

Here's a video on a few concepts I use when sweeping. I'm rusty as hell, because I practice like twice a year, so forgive the clams...but ya, possibly good ideas to consider/practice. My shitty mic doesn't help either, which leads to what i hate most (hear the first two notes and nothing else lol).

Nice video Matt. I have a question about that Dm sweep. Do you use your middle and index fingers to hit the B,G,D strings or your ring and middle? That shape has always confused me.
