Elmo always posts a pic of an American looking blonde and a really cute brunette, and then is talking about the blonde. It confuses me both from him being Mexican as well as my own tastes tending towards brunettes.

What does my taste in women have to do with me being Mexican? Even when I was in Mexico I always dated the blond girls. Because, you know (or maybe not), not all Mexicans are short and brown.

It's pretty insane how sensitive you get about ethnicity, geez.

I would be willing to bet that a majority of Mexican women are brunettes. I tend to be attracted to Latin girls, and I figure that people who are a certain ethnicity are generally attracted to their same "kind". If I knew a black guy who was really into pale redheads, I would find it weird.

Sensitive? I just find it absurd. There's a vast difference between a black guy liking redheads and and me liking blonde girls, mostly because I'm the same race as the blondes. I'm about as indoamerican as Johnny Depp is andoamerican. And once again, I have no idea why you keep trying to group me in an "ethnic" category, when Latino means nothing other than being descendant of Spanish speaking people. Cameron Diaz is a latino and she's not exactly a brunette.

No at all. But creating fictitious racial barriers, and saying stuff like "he looks Mexican" is just stupid, because that can mean absolutely anything. Correct terminology would be "he looks mestizo", or he looks "mediterranean", or he looks "indo-american", etc.

Elmo is correct... there are blond blue eyes hispanic/mexican/latino/chicano what ever you want to call them people.... they have a higher percentage of spanish blood in them and there for show these traits. I never describe music as "sounding indie". All I know is that I'm probably gonna hate it if it's labeled as indie. Just like I'm probably going to hate someone who says "you don't look Mexican", and they all come in different shapes and colors.
