Holy shit, shut your mouth. I don't know what Matt told you, but I said nothing about it looking like a children's movie. My text to him that night said, "I hate animated robots." The truth, of course, was that I couldn't go see the movie because I was doing shit with my girlfriend. The animated robot excuse wasn't even REAL. Next time you question my ability to discern the demographic appeal of a newly released film, I will pick you up and never put you down again.
This is the best post you have ever made. Please post more like this in the future and you will have great success!
This, including the 3x seeing it. My ranking goes Wall-E Monsters, Inc Toy Story Ratatouillie The Incredibles Toy Story 2 Finding Nemo A Bug's Life Cars
They're all pretty trash to be honest. But hey, I'm not into children films, so what can you do. I guess not everyone has pedophiliac tendencies in this forum.
I agree that these films are pretty crappy from a non-kids perspective. EXCEPT for Toy Story 2. That film is just so powerful and stunning on every level. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is_hpHzEMiE"]YouTube - Jessie's Story - Toy Story 2[/ame]
Finding Nemo. I haven't seen any of the Toy Stories recently, but I remember hating them as a child. I've seen everything on that list but Wall-E and Ratatouille.
Agreed with Melon and keepinitrickyas well...except change The Incredibles with Toy Story. And move WALL-E above the others.
Toy Story, classic. Although it was the beginning of the end of cell animation...and that is pretty sad...
Only in the Western Mainstream theatrical releases, there's still a lot of underground/indie animated films/shorts being released, the French are still making some excellent films, and obviously the Japanese are dominating the cell shaded movie market.
Monsters, Inc. It's genius. It saddens me to see A Bug's Life without a single vote. I really love it.
Monsters Inc. had me laughing the most, but it was so long ago and I doubt I'd enjoy it as much now. Ratatouille takes it for having a pretty moving story.
It's a tough call, but I'd probably say the original Toy Story is my favorite, followed by the Incredibles. Ratatouille finishes in a close third. I kind of wish they'd make a sequel to that instead of doing Toy Story 3, even though Toy Story 2 was phenomenal. If I had to choose a least favorite, I'd definitely pick Cars. The story seems to lack some of the depth that has made the other Pixar films so engaging.
What the fuck is wrong with this forum? Wall-E was great, but not even close to the best Pixar movie. Tops are Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and Finding Nemo.
