    Discuss.

I've had hernia repairs, wisdom teeth removals, hyper-extended extremities, kicked in the shins with roller blades in elementary school, but nothing will compare to a nasal flu test I had a few months ago.

They shove something similar to a Q-tip up your nose until about a centimeter is left sticking out. It's literally about 4 inches up your nose and they twist it around to collect the mucus. It was literally the sharpest eye squinting eye watering pain I've experienced. I mean, wtf. They probably don't hurt on average like that but I think the person administering it to me was either new or was having a shitty day.

To my recollection (and knock on wood) the worst pain Ive ever been in was when I dropped an umbrella on my toe. Im talking one of those table umbrellas. I picked it up in the rain, it was closed and full of water. It was standing straight up, and it slipped through my hands. I was wearing sandals. The metal pole landed dead center on my big toe.

Needless to say, I fell to the ground in pain. The nail had blood under it (but it didnt bleed out). I dont think it broke, or at least I never got it set. It may have been fractured. But goddamn. It hurt all god damn night and all the next day. If I so much as touched it, it hurt like a bitch.

And now Im remembering the time I dislocated a rib. It was quick. In and out. I didnt even really feel it. But that night and for a week... holy fucking shit. I couldnt move. Couldnt laugh. Couldnt breathe without a horrible pain.

Don't think I've felt any really bad pain. Fell over while playing football once. My foot was angled like / when I fell and the middle of it felt like it cracked or something. Couldn't walk for 4 days. Didnt bother going to the doctors because I assumed it was just a bad sprain.

    Fuck @ posts 7, 9, and 11. Especially 7.

Actually I had a varicoceletomy once (sp?). Hernia repair, but a damaged vein in my balls, which happened from me maxing out in squats in gym class back in high school.

Surgery involved making an incision in my groin, pulling one of my testies out of the sack into the air, snipping the damaged vein, and shoving the testicle back into the sack. I was asleep for all this, but my balls (literally, LITERALLY) were the size of a grapefruit for a week. The most comfortable way I could stand was with my feet about 3 feet apart at all times.

Playing street hockey (no gloves/padding) one day, I went on a breakaway and my buddy slashed me just as I went to take a shot. In my backswing, my hand got caught right in his slash and he ended up whacking me right on the middle joint/knuckle of my index finger. It was probably broken, and the swelling was huge, but I kept playing.

That was probably the worst pain ever, until he hit THE EXACT SAME SPOT AGAIN DOING THE SAME THING. Fell to the ground the second time, it was terrible.

Other than that, I got dry socket when they took my wisdom teeth:

when you guys were growing up did any of you play the game in elementary school where you lay out two ropes/jumping ropes/whatever and you line up and you run and jump from one to the other and every round they get farther and farther apart? well me and a bunch of friends got together last summer and had a nostalgia night and played that and red rover and kick the can and all this other shit. anyway so i was wearing sandals and figured i'd do better without shoes.

    LOL

i run, i jump, i land, and my foot rolls over on itself, crumples under my weight as i try to maintain balance, and breaks in three places. ROFL

also one time i was trying to break dance and i smacked my right big toe against a wall corner. i was in an altered state of mind so i don't remember it hurting all that much, but i get the feeling it's been broken ever since because i can't bend it all the way and sometimes i step on it wrong and it hurts like a MOTHERFUCKER

When I was younger I started getting really bad pains in my leg after I had a pretty bad fall when I was figure skating. My family doctor claimed it was probably growing pains and my parents told me to suck it up so I walked around in excruciating pain for a couple months, till they finally took me to a specialist in the city and he looked at my x-ray and immediately was like "wtf you shouldn't be walking". Turns out something was messed up with my hips and my growth plate was slipping out of place. I had surgery to correct it first thing the next morning and was totally fine after a couple months of being on crutches.
Pretty sure that was the worst, though I can't say for sure because I could have just been wussy since I was only about 10 years old at the time.

Worst pain I probably been in is when I had a spinal fusion to correct scoliosis when I was in maybe 10th grade. The first week was probably horrible, but I was given so much painkiller. I was out of school for two months, although I felt fine enough to go back in the first month of recovery.

Having my nose re-broken to straighten it after it was broken in a fist fight (10 years ago). Sure I was under while they fixed it, but the pain afterward was like nothing I've felt before or since.

My face looked like it had gotten hit by a truck.

Has anyone ever had some muscle sort of under their tongue near the bottom of their jaw cramp? It happens to me once in a while and it's one of the most painful things I've ever experienced.

When I was younger I was throwing a recess ball back and forth with a friend, and instead of catching one time, it got lodged between my ring and pinky finger, breaking the pinky finger outwards.

Most intense pain I can remember... I just cried like a Sissy for an hour :p

Breaking it back into place was also excrutiating, but I was more prepared for that.

tl;dr: Don't throw those rubber recess balls back and forth.

I've had a pretty pain free life tbh, one of the worst things was probably when I fell over on an escalator when I was about 10, it was a really small fall, but I landed my knee on a really sharp metal edge and had a huge trap door of skin hanging off.

I feel like we had a threat about this before. Three things immediately come to mind:

    1. Breaking my leg thirteen years ago, and again three years ago. The breaks were in two separate places. The first time the pain wasn't so bad, but after the bone healed I was very sensitive to changes in barometric pressure. Sometimes the pain was so bad that I couldn't walk. When I broke it a second time, the actual break itself is what hurt. I had some muscular damage this time. It "hurt" so much that my entire lower body was almost completely numb, and I became physically ill and nearly passed out. I would rate that an 8.

    2. A migraine headache I had last spring. It lasted for several days, during which time I couldn't sleep or eat, became nauseated and dehydrated, experienced temporary blindness and passed out in the shower. I'd rate that an 8.5.

    3. Waking up during a colonoscopy. Fuck my life, that hurt. I'd rate it a 7 though.

I stepped on a sharp rock and it got lodged in my foot. The wound healed over and I had a rock stuck in my foot. I was at summer camp and the doctor had limited supplies so he cut my foot open and pulled it out with tweezers. There was no anesthesia.

1.Breaking my wrist. I think I was like 14 or 15 and cried like a baby

2.Getting kicked in the balls with full power. I think that was even worse than the former. The pain endured almost the complete day and I was unable to walk. I think it's a miracle I can still produce sperm.

Yeah, I've gotten this a couple times. I usually rapidly open and shut my mouth to avoid it's full wrath.

Happened to me once too, this really hurts. My wrist still makes a clicking noise when I move it in circles.

Abcess in my mouth. I wanted to tear my fucking lower jaw off, it was immense pain.

Also, recently I stood on a toothpick and managed to get the fucker an inch and a half into the sole of my foot through my sock. Pulling it out was the most fucked up feeling in the world, for some reason.

When I was pretty young I got attacked by a rottweiler. It bit the back of my head and a good part of my scalp was pretty much flapping around. Ended up with 20-something stitches and a scar that looks like the letter J. I still remember it vividly after all these years.

I had my spleen removed when I was like 13. It was the size of a cantaloupe when it was finally removed so for the next week or two I could feel my guts slipping and sliding around inside of me until they finally filled up the remaining space. I could hardly sit without wanting to scream. I couldn't really walk either. It was so bad that I shit my pants a couple times because I just couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough. lol.

    Funny now though.
