This is pretty messed up, I have friends who were a few blocks away when it happened. This hits pretty hard, because we're a very small country, and very connected. In Norway, if someone gets raped... it can usually be heard about on our national news broadcast, so this is. i don't know.. fucked up. We don't even have laws that cover mass murder right now.

Well, the how is pretty simple... This is Norway, the king fucking drinks at bars, the prime minister walks around the city with no protection. And the bomb went off right next to the government offices, which have no protection or security, basically. We Norwegians are kind and naive.

A guy from another forum I post at lives a few km away from the government building that got bombed. Needless to say, the thread on this has been surreal.
I hope none of that changes about norway, but it should at least be looked at in terms of how the explosives were obtained. Also i was in amman and its now standard to screen everybody entering the main hotels, ever since the hotel bombings on 11/9. Its very much true that it doesnt help much after the fact, but i see it as something thats being done and yet the overall friendliness and openness of the place is unchanged. Is that guy the suspect? Weird profile for sure
Yeah, it's pretty sad to see this happen in such a 'safe' place but I suppose no where is immune to it. I know the first time I ever visited Norway it blew my mind that most people didn't lock their house or car doors, there isn't a camera watching you on every street corner and 10 people didn't die earlier that day. You wake up to a fairly tame news broadcast and news paper headlines that are rarely bad news. Kinda like a utopia, that I agree, in general is naive and very in its own but... I don't know, it's just a real shame and it's very devastating to hear.

The tone itt is making me hate some of you guys right now. First of all we shouldnt be posting in a thread with such a name. I get that its a spin on the viva la revolution threads going on lately, but without that context it just looks wrong.
