Hi everyone. This is lady face. I'm Mark's girlfriend. Um...I thought I should let you all know because Mark spent a lot of time on here and has known a lot of you for six years. I know he was planning on going to the King Crimson concert with some of you as well. Mark passed away this morning. He was hit by a car last Wednesday at 11:03 pm and suffered severe head trauma. He spent a week in the St. John Regional hospital with me, and his family by his side. He was never conscious. Um...I am not sure what else to say...I can log on for the next few days and answer any questions you guys may have that I can answer...

I honestly had major reservations with many things VG said, I still do. But he seemed like a standup guy, and an intelligent caring one too. RIP.....
Here, here. EDIT: holy fuck, today around noon I COULD NOT GET KING CRIMSON out of my head. He is who referred me to them. I kept humming Neal and Jack and Me at lunch. Weird.
I just saw this and happened to sign in for the first time in a very long time. Out of everyone I've chatted with from the old dt.net community, Mark was the one I respected most. One of the most intelligent people I've chatted with, with a great taste in music and everything else. This is fucking terrible news. As Michel Camilo said below me, this is a "tragic waste of potential and humanity." Ugh. I believe he was going to school in Guelph. RIP Mark.
Whether you liked him or not is not important (I should know, since I never got along with him and was involved in many an e-fight with him). What's important is that he was a valuable member of the forum, who had a long history and made a lot of friends throughout his years here. Plus he was a smart guy, and his death is a horrible and tragic waste of potential and humanity.

Okay Internet. Mark was living in Guelph for the year doing his MA. I live in Fredericton. He had moved back here for the summer. His parents are from Digby, Nova Scotia, so that is where he was raised. This is definately not a joke... Thanks for all your well wishes... If you have any questions or anything I can answer them as best I can. If it is consoling to anyone, I was with him in his last moments and he went peacefully.
