reloading a save file so I can go back at a certain stage with 4 lives rather than "continuing" and having 2 or 3 or whatever.

    some insane achievements:
04 Bust a Move - Don’t miss with the Mega Buster and clear the game.
09 Mr. Perfect - Clear the game without getting damaged.
10 Invincible - Clear the game without dying.
12 No Coffee Break - Clear the game without using any energy or mystery tanks.
14 Mega Diet - Clear the game without picking up more than 8 energy pellets.
16 Peacekeeper - Clear the game by defeating the fewest number of enemies possible.
17 Conservationist - Clear the game by using the least amount of weapon energy possible.
    19 Gamer’s Day - Clear the game 5 times in 1 day.:lol
23 Truly Hardcore! - Clear the game for the 30th time.
32 Last Man Standing - Defeat all bosses with only one pixel of energy left.
35 Heavy Metal - Reach a boss’ room without shooting.
36 Speed Metal - Reach a boss’ room without stopping once.
    41 Marathon Fight - Fight a boss for 10 minutes. :x

This one's pretty cool, it's more than a port. there's animated cartoon cutscenes, voices, and all-new 3D graphics. the stages are the same aside from the misplacing of the dash boots... i can't freakin find them!!

the game is also insanely hard. It's fucking hell getting through Launch Octopus' stage, there are so many robotic fish throwing spears and giant missiles at me. on top of that, spikes freakin everywhere!!

fuck. now i'm slightly more interested in getting a PSP. The only other game I know i would get is Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX though. How easy is it to download games like on the DS?

Back on topic, just tried Hornet Man's stage. Fuck that was annoying. It's not that it was hard, it's more like... minor things like bad timings. I was able to get to Hortnet Man. Jesus Christ. I almost have the timing down but one little fuck up just fucks the whole thing up. I'm definitely saving him for last. Unless theres a harder boss :x

    Plug Man's weakness is
    Jewel Satelite
. I just happened to choose
    Jewel Man
first and Plug Man 2nd. Easy as pie. haha

    Lol ad the comic

Oh and Jewel Satelite is so helpful. In Plug Man's stage, just stand near the pipes with the floating baddies come out. The satelite will kill them and you can just pick up a bunch of lives. The satelite doesnt run out from hitting little baddies.

you'd have to mod your PSP. on the DS you can just use that R4 thingy right? Nothing like that on PSP as far as I know... but since it has a hard drive, you just have to mod it to be able to download games.

I am not excited for this, because I break shit when I play the regular megaman games. There's so many bullshit obstacles and stupid shit ways to die. Disappearing blocks...impossible jumps...FUCK

I got Concrete Man and Magma Man left. So far, aside from Galaxy Man and Hornet Man. I've just been testing with weaknesses. I've been choosing a random stage and when i get to the boss, i test out if i have his/her weakness or not. if i dont, i reload and choose another stage. Seems like a waste of time, but you still get good practice in for when you have to do the stage again. Less frustrating too. Thank God for saving. None of this password bullshit :lol. Galaxy Man was easy as shit. Didnt need his weakness. Hornet Man i managed to beat by using a health tank.

Seriously. Sorry to talk about MMX again, but I kill myself in real life every time something fucked happens in the game. Like I jump and -- bed of spikes from nowhere, fuck. And this one time a robotic fish dragon thing was shooting air at me (Megaman), and into a bed of spikes. wow be more of an asshole, damn robot fish. I overreact too, like I curse out-loud or facepalm in an exaggerated way... even in public. it's kinda embarrassing, i guess, but I'm sure people who see me can sympathize with me as soon as they know I'm playing Megaman.

It's odd, but the frustrating-ness of Mega Man just keeps me coming back, though. Until a certain point though. I hate that the latest saves/passwords are at the first Wily Stage. After that, any password/save will still bring you back to the first Wily Stage. You basically have to do it all in one go.

I only got to play about half an hour, so far. Here are my thoughts.

    1. AWESOME
    2. Hard. I played concrete man and beat the level okay, but got annihilated by the man, himself. Then I tried Galaxy Man and beat it, then I had to leave.
    3. Better on Wii. It wasn't out in the wii shop this morning, so I downloaded the ps3 demo to tide me over. I considered not even buying it, some of the basic jumps were near impossible. The wiimote has a more appropriate shape and waaaay more appropriate d pad.

Was out yesterday on the PS3 mate. I got the demo. The stage they give you (Concrete Man) is busting my balls. It's glorious.

Just had another half hour with it, my thumb is blistering, and my girlfriend's been imitating me from the other room every time I sigh or groan or shout an expletive.

    Nintendo.

A new Megaman X style would also be cool, but I'm glad they went all out.

I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of charge shot and slide. Protoman will supposedly be able to do that though.

I always hated the Wily levels. Seriously, why does Capcom have to be a dick and not let you save in between levels? Even in the old games, they gave you a password in between Wily levels, but they just restarted you to the first one.

Finished three levels now. Every time I start a new session, I finish the level I couldn't beat the day before, and then get another level that frustrates me until I give up.

So I tried MM2 again today...

I just don't have the patience for these games.
Used to play up to Wily's stage in MM3 back in the day at my cousin's but other than that I fail at regular Mega Man.
MMX on the other hand is super fantastic.

Yeah, so I played this game for the first time at a friend's place last night, beat three stages(plug, tornado, and hornet. . .kind calls into question all these claims of the game being "wicked impossible").

Wily stage 1: I got up to the part with three horizontal magma beams and stayed there for 10 minutes trying to figure out how not to die. Then I died. No idea how to do that.

You mean the lava cannons? Yeah that was a mess.

Concrete can freeze the beams (though I had problems with getting it to work), or you can use a quick Rush boost as soon as you've climbed up the ladder.
