His Internet posting style is very similar to that of Valon, so similar that I actually was thinking whether it could be him making fun of the net again, like he always does. Somewhere I felt that it was all a joke. But I was never convinced, and I confess you had made me quite nervous at times

He only told me a short while ago, and initially I saw the humour, but I pretty quickly told him he was trolling and asked him to stop. He then carried on which is why I brought it up in the admin forum. Then he disappeared for a few days, and when he came back he told me he was going to reveal all this to everyone. Needless to say, if he had tried to carry on, he'd have found himself getting a severe warning and a ban. I can post parts of our PM conversations if Matt is happy for me to do so.
I'm torn on this. On one hand "LOL GUYS it was just a social experiment!" is easily the oldest excuse for trolling on the internet, and so annoying and boring. On the other hand, pending tyke asking about NIDA (if he even cares), this could ACTUALLY have been a social experiment. Either way ... ... vagina.
Either way, acedemic social experiment or not, Valon isn't a real person, he's either an exaggerated version of this Matt guy's own persona (I'm guessing he does share some traits), or he's just a fictional account to troll with. Whatever the real reason behind Valon is, I'm glad it's ending as as amusing as it was to see the Valon posts, it was also mightliy tedious and irritatingas there was no real worth in anything he had to say.
i dont think too many people took valon seriously. then again, i dont think many would have ever guessed it was a project for school. im not sure if i would classify this as anything close to 'satire', because one of the intrinsic qualities of satire is WIT - and this had none.
Having been an infrequent visitor the last year, I didn't really run across Valon much. The little bit I saw seemed like the typical misanthropic teen that gets off on pushing people's buttons given the anonymity of the internet. So if you're real, then you fooled me I guess. Still, a troll's a troll. @VG... If I didn't know better, I'd smell a hint of jealousy.
