Do you have a blog hidden away somewhere online you'd like to show the cultural hotpot cum aneurism that is ACL? If yes, and it boasts of writings relating to any of the following, then please, post away. - Creative writing, of any manner, preferably outside the field of music. This includes, but is not exclusive to: - Film/Theater/Lit reviews - Short Fiction - Diary entries you feel are written with significant creative merit/intent - Poetry - Ongoing chapters/development of a novel, biography, thesis, etc. You may also share any blogging you do relating to the following: - A development diary for a film/theater production - Any artwork of yours you independently promote* *This may include sculpture, painting, photography, mixed-media, web-design, etc that is not found on places like devianART. This thread is for self-promoted creative output; sites that have been built/maintained by you. I make this stipulation only becuase the previous 'post your flickr/deviantart page' threads have ended up with endless, undiscussed lists of people's Facebook-for-art equivalents with no real shared discussion therein about what it means to have your work public, and yet so isolated, and what each piece means to the creator. Please let me know if there's anything you feel I've left glaringly absent. ----------- You're welcome to use this thread to post about significant updates to your website/blog, also. Please include some kind of explanation with your links/lynx!
I just had a blog a few months ago that I eventually shut down (because I hated Tumblr so much). I've been wanting to start up another one sometime soon.
I've just started a new film blog, actually. Link coming in the next few days. Cheers for the vote of confidence.
http://thepicturesthatmove.wordpress.com/ Alright. Full review to come this weekend, and then hopefully a batch each weekend following.
I have a pretty sweet blog called "The Halfway House", but I havent updated it in a while. http://halfwayhousecollective.blogspot.com/
Nice work, He-Beast. I imagine you haven't updated it in a while because it requires hard work and you'd rather do that and get paid. I imagine, however, you'll update it soon.
recently started one on gaming and running (sounds weird, I know, but the mission is clear). Still on the first post because I'm waiting for my big traffic boost from an announcement post on a much more popular blog. It will get this announcement because I launched the blog with a contest. anyway, tell me what you think, more posts coming soon (I have a bunch written already) http://rungamelive.blogspot.com
yeah, ive been trying to get a massive traffic push on this other blog, but there were all these road blocks from ad networks. Just so annoying, I wanted to leave the debut post with the contest info, but now I don't think anything gonna happen with that. I'll give the points away in some other ways while still getting people to become followers. Very soon I'll be getting up a second post, and it wont really be about getting a foot in the door in either world, this one will be directed mainly at those who already enjoy both.
I used to have a pretty awesome LiveJournal I dedicated exclusively to prose and novel writing but I stopped using it.
http://allmediareviews.blogspot.com in my signature too and I imagine at least some folks around here know it/have stumbled upon it before. But if not, it's a pretty frequent spot for content I review and report (pass-along) info about tv and movies especially (and of course music). Some of which ends up on this forum of course, but a lot of the tv and movie content does not get posted here.
Mine is mostly music, but occasionally I write about books as well: http://theyearofglad.blogspot.com/
http://audioteque-musicislove.blogspot.com/ So far I've only done one post, but my friend has done a bunch.
Lists, reviews, pictures, own thoughts and observations. Only recently started, but will have lots of content: http://cica-triz.tumblr.com
Just set up a new blog for the new year. Primarily, it's to help me with some motivation issues in relation to my career and my music. There's not much to see yet, and I certainly don't claim to be a fantastic writer, but I've made an introductory post with more stuff soon to follow all being well. http://soundofmind.tumblr.com
I'm starting a blog dedicated to my mazes and I guess mazes in general: http://mazeblog-tjg92.blogspot.com/
I made a new blog for my photography and music, it's only got a few posts atm, but i'll be adding to it. http://lozclark.tumblr.com/
http://actuallyadamlauver.tumblr.com Basically just a place to market myself as an actor and post reviews and thoughts and such.
http://www.indeof.com Basically the premise of the blog is to defend certain things (whether they're based in the arts, current events or the past) against some of the more scrutinizing thoughts that are thrown against them by the cynics of the world. The internet is too jaded and I want to make my blog a source of refuge for people who are sick of the "too-cool-for-school" attitude that most blogs and/or forums exude. My latest post is pretty chill but the best is yet to come. It's about albums. You guys should check it out.
Giving Tumblr another try. Glad that stupid Tumblarity shit is gone. http://admiraljackson.tumblr.com/
http://moaimagination.blogspot.com/ Montage of an Imagination is a blog I started as a place for me to post my original creative content. Hope you enjoy! There are a lot of great blogs being posted here. I especially like http://rungamelive.blogspot.com/ http://quincouplets.com/ http://actuallyadamlauver.tumblr.com/ http://pranbandi.tumblr.com/ These stuck out the most for me. Great work!
It takes human music to make a cat rave It takes a good video of a cat going crazy It takes a few minutes of editing and syncing It takes an internet audience to make the counters go hissing It takes a good laugh to make the work worth it That crazy, raving cat sure can work it! wtf is wrong with you
It's a joke. Its meant to be as retarded as the video its based off. It's a reflection of the idiotic aspects of viral video culture and is not as successful in its portrayal as in some of my other poetry. I wrote it after seeing this... http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/81153991/
blog in sig. i feel pretty transparent sharing it with you guys because it's all pretty personal and (mostly) pretty childish stuff, but i enjoy writing despite my frighteningly low self-esteem.
just a few bytes Eight-syllable poems. On a related note, I've been asked to write an article for a magazine about quincouplets (a form I used to keep another blog about but haven't updated since October). Pretty widely-circulated magazine edited by a very respected poet. I'm stoked.
My roommates and I collaborate on this one: http://typewriternonsense.blogspot.com/ Greatest Hits: http://typewriternonsense.blogspot.com/2011/01/welcome-new-visitors.html
Even though this thing is at the top of the page, I never even noticed it. Pretty lame Milhouse. My blog is in my sig, its pretty much a podcast/blog where a friend and I talk about films and music. I made a thread for it, but it became buried. This being a stickied thread is good and stuff. Yeah.
http://rickinopposition.wordpress.com/ Hello, this is my new blog. Hopefully it'll have weekly postings of interesting things.
Thanks for sharing such a great piece of information. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference, i.e. simply asking people to comment. Good stuff!
