i really think Manning will be the next in line to play the Dolphins to get a bigger contract somewhere else, and i think the Seahawks are a good bet for that.

This press conference is sorta like the USA's version of Gretzky leaving Edmonton for LA.

Not sure Washington would be a good fit for Peyton. Mike Shanahan is a QB guy, but he is the type who wants to dictate what his QB does and probably wouldn't want to give Peyton the control he is used to on the field to constantly change plays and whatnot.

I think Arizona and SF are the best bets. Seattle is too cold for Peyton to want to play there, and I'd be surprised if Peyton went to a team in Eli or Brady's divisions.

Reading more on it, the Manning family is apparently weird about not wanting Peyton and Eli in the same conference (which might have been why they didn't want Eli going to SD), so it is very likely that Peyton goes to an AFC team, so maybe Miami or the Jets are very good possibilities. Or Houston. I know they have Schaub, but why not bring in Peyton? Houston was a healthy 1st string QB away from being the best team in the league this past year. A healthy Peyton could make them unbeatable.

The Jets have like 2 million in cap space the last I looked. Not sure how they make that happen and I'm not sure why they are in the discussion unless they make some cuts or restructure a few deals. Restructuring isn't as easy as wanting it to happen.

yeah the whole conference thing kinda rules out the Seahawks.

i think the Skins trade up to #2 and take RGIII.

Yeah that's a better fit for them,

If his neck isn't as fucked as I suspect it might be, then Dolphins would seem a likely destination. Jets don't have the cap room and will probably piss about with Sanchez for another half a season or so before finally getting shot of him. 2 Mannings in NYC would be ridiculous.

Thinking more about it, I don't think Peyton will want to deal with a bunch of drama, so I think we can rule out KC (lot of reports about the underhanded way they run their franchise with fear tactics and whatnot), Denver (he won't want to deal with the Tebow fiasco) and the NY Jets (Rex Ryan and the mess in that locker room). I think he ends up in Arizona.

Adam Schefter said this today about Manning and Miami:

I think their chances are dwindling some." Cites same "circumstances" that drove away Harbaugh, Fisher.

Miami doesn't seem to have an advantage that it did a few days ago, in the estimation of ppl around the league.

So he's meeting with the Broncos right now and is scheduled to meet with the Cardinals before heading back to Miami. Due diligence.

Jets don't have money to pay him either.

Cards just dealt big for Kolb, i think they have to give him more than 1 season.

The Broncos worry me. Common sense says that Denver is cold weather which supposedly he doesn't want. Common sense says he would want no part of getting involved in Tebowmania.

Common sense doesn't account for the HUGE amount of cap space the Broncos have and the fact that supposedly they will "do whatever it takes" to get him to sign there. They might even give him some ridiculous guaranteed contract.

So my guess at this point is that he either agrees with Denver today or he leaves and he's the Dolphins' to lose.

In a pre-draft blockbuster trade, the St. Louis Rams have agreed in principle to send the second overall pick in this year's draft to the Washington Redskins for three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick, according to a source in Cleveland familiar with the terms of the deal.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7...skins-acquire-no-2-overall-pick-st-louis-rams

Kinda figured they would try to trade this pick way before the draft...or at least figured that would have had it done by now before the market dries up. Now I can see why Fisher wanted to be with the Rams. They have some chips to work with.

Also, that's wayyyy too much for RG3.

But you know what, as much as I think that's overkill for RG3 I applaud them for going after their guy. The fucking Dolphins have never done that.

Expect Manning to decide/sign on Monday. Even though he's entertaining Arizona (what with Larry Fitzgerald and all), I'd say 1) Miami, 2) Denver, 3) Arizona as far as likelihood.

I knew it was a bad sign that Manning stayed at Denver so long. Supposedly the Dolphins are going to get to pitch to him tomorrow. Hopefully they pull it off. :<

Well moonmang, hopefully Philbin knows how to seal a deal. This would be huge for the Dolphins. We have a good defense, and we definitely have the offensive weapons if we could only get a god damn QB.

I'm just gonna sit back, relax, and watch all the good Chargers and other free agents go to other teams because AJ Smith wants to wait for players to come to him.
