Agreed. I hate the Team Organization. Nothing but respect for a select few players on the team. Wish we never let Welker go. Brady, as much as I hate him, is awesome. Belichick is still a little cheating troll with sleeveless hoodies.
I doubt he'd want to go to the same division as Brady and the Patriots, and if so, he'd be much more likely to go the Jets, IMO. Then again, a dome guy like Manning might prefer South Beach to the cold of NYC, but I just think Peyton would want to go to a team that is a QB away from being a serious contender, and I am not sure you can say that about the Dolphins. I doubt he wants to finish out his career on a struggling team (which Miami has been for over a decade now).
honestly i think it would be way more interesting if Manning went to Tennessee, but i haven't heard anything about that happening, and it's probably a very slim chance, if any.
and it DOES make a ton of sense for Flynn to follow Philbin. it's exactly the kind of set up the Packers would need in order to franchise Flynn and know they'd be able to trade him.
Packers might want to franchise Finley or Wells (their center), though. General though is that they let Flynn walk for a compensatory pick in the 2013 draft. Besides, the new CBA heavily frowns on using the Franchise tag just to get more out of a trade. It's very risky. As far as Manning goes... teams that I think are a QB away from contending: Jets (but I still don't think it would happen) Arizona, maybe? They'd have to give up on Kolb (total bust) or restructure his contract. Dolphins aren't far off. They have talent on both sides of the ball, especially at receiver where it matters most for Manning. I just don't expect the move to happen.
I would love for Flynn to go to Miami with Philbin. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/NFL-s...-matt-flynn-could-headed-miami-115030102.html
I think Manning will never take another snap in the NFL again. I am probably wrong, but it's just a hunch
Probably for the best. Would still love to see what would happen if he did a year on a team like Tennessee like you mentioned.
Not that ESPN is an authority, but he just gave a long, high-profile interview about how he feels good and ISN'T going to retire http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7...s-colts-expects-play-again-no-timing-decision
Seems like Marino is making a big push for the Dolphins to pursue Manning if he parts ways with the Colts. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a healthy Manning in Miami, but it is such a HUGE gamble given the rate of his rehabilitation this past season. Plus he will be owed 28 million dollars right off the rip. Should be interesting to see how this offseason plays out.
I have been seeing a lot of people confidently taking the Giants and even saying the Pats are a bad team save for Brady. This is Belichick with 2 weeks to prepare. The game plan will be good and the game will not go down how it's supposed to. I have had to watch the Pats win the division for too long to foolishly think the Pats are going to roll over.
That's why I said Giants by 7. Pats will lead by 4 with 1:20 minutes left and the Giants will score a last second TD to win it.
Anyways, once again in a battle between New York and Boston sports teams, the rest of us lose. Sure, people all had opinions on who was going to do what, but did anyone care?
