In b4 1,000,000 pages of awesome in-depth discussion and really wordy posts.

    Fuck yeah, I'm pumped.

We gotta find another show to do this with after Lost though :ponder

I don't think there will ever be another show to measure up to this one.

There's certainly no show that could generate as good discussion about what could potentially happen.

    Thoughts on the promo poster:

    - I'm still not sure who was added in the remade version. EDIT: it was Vincent
    - Why isn't Eko on it? :\ I mean I knew he wouldn't be back at all... I guess that's why. But he was a pretty central figure in the show for a while there. Mneh, whatever. EDIT: nevermind i see him lol

Also, what is the significance of February 2nd being Groundhog's Day?

Gotta get on the first page of an inevitably legendary thread.

Other than the episode title for the premiere, I'm steering clear of the other ones. I did not like that I knew "Some Like It Hoth" in season 5 only to wonder throughout the episode what it could possibly have to do with Star Wars until the scene with Hurley.

Can't wait! Also, a little bit bummed that this is the last season. I'm sure it's going to be amazing.

Goddamn it would be awesome if this was literally a re-showing of the first season - frame for frame - and then the show just ended.

But this season is only 17 episodes, and the first was like 24.

Gonna have to be some montages or something mang.

LOL That would be epic, and awesome! Only the fans of LOST would be cool with their favorite show ending(not ending, really) like this...

Just watched selected scenes from "The Incident" and I'd forgotten how intense that shit got.

That episode was great for me in so many ways. It really established, to me, that they had a reign on what they were doing with the plot, and I loved the twist with Locke.

Brutal cliffhanger too. I'm starting to get antsy for next season now.

    I shouldn't have watched that...

"The Incident" was kind of a microcosm of the whole season. Extremely flawed in many ways, some easier to ignore than others, but that's okay because the content was just so damn interesting, and it reached peaks of intensity like few others in the show's history (Jack and Sawyer's fight, for instance)

That seems like a pretty effective way to write a script, actually, and a way that I would probably use to be honest. It gets across the exact nature of the moment (i.e. what the viewer is supposed to be thinking/feeling at that point) pretty clearly.

I agree. Relying on vulgar language can definitely be a lazy crutch when dealing with the actual performance (e.g. bad stand-up comics), but for the script being used internally? Seems effective. After all, the response the show is trying to elicit from the audience during moments like that is, "FUCK!"

I'd probably be a lot like Boone. Kind of quiet, wanting to be helpful but not exactly sure what to do to be helpful.

    And I'd chill with Locke.

Michael maybe? Or Charlie? Picking a girl to latch onto immediately seems like a decent idea, although choosing the pregnant one is a bit suspect.

    On a different topic:

There's something about the finale that has really bugged/intrigued me. Jacob's 'what about you?' is so neutral I still have no idea exactly what he meant by it. People have described it as a number of different expressions but I've never been really sure exactly what he was saying with that comment. I'm not sure whether I'm frustrated by the actor's performance or thrilled by it.
