Deliverance. 4.5/5. Awesome atmosphere, I loved the story. All-around great film. I'll never look at "Dueling Banjos" the same again.

While being quite an unoriginal film, and kind of one-dimension, its just a fucking blast to watch. So energetic, visceral and brutal. Got me more excited for "The Good, The Bad & The Weird", which ya'll should be excited for.

I agree entirely. Any film where a guy is burried alive with broken fingers, yet manages to crawl back out and fight people off with a cell phone battery cannot be bad.

What Would Jesus Buy. 1/5. Fucking absurd documentary about a comedian starting the church of stop shopping to prevent the shopcocalypse. Sounded kind of intriguing by the description, but it was god-awful. Avoid.

Super High Me. 4/5. I think Doug Benson is funny, and even though nothing really happened throughout the documentary I was laughing pretty hard at various points. The volcano was awesome. Recommended.

Spellbound. 4/5. Cute little documentary following eight spelling bee champs around their daily lives in preparing for the national spelling bee championship in Washington D.C.

Bigger, Stronger, Faster* [*The side effects of being American]. 4.5/5. Hilarious, sometimes sobering look at the lives of peope who are on steroids. Chris Bell directs and hosts this documentary looking for the answers of why steroids are so popular in American culture.

I've been on a bit of a documentary kick, I guess, wow. The wife has a bunch more docs in queue and they all look pretty sweet.

Even by stoner comedy standards this falls short. I didn't find myself loling at all during the movie, just a few forced chuckles. I'm a big fan of the stoner comedy genre too. Avoid this movie its horrid.

where the buffalo roam. *1/2. the first thing i thought was "wow, it's going to be impossible to watch bill murray do this throughout the entire movie because i've seen johnny depp do it 1000 times better". to me, the tone of the film was like "oh, hunter s thompson is just so crazy! look at him talking into a tape recorder and firing his gun at random things! he's just so damn absurd, isn't he? oh boy!" it felt like some weird exploitation flick a lot of times. there are some genuinely funny moments, but the way it was made is just so fucking stupid it drives me nuts. "hey bill, just ACT CRAZY and everyone will know that you're supposed to be that CRAZY JOURNALIST. yeah!" up the fucking wall, man.

Not bad, but not mind-blowing either. Norton was great, but I had trouble finding Hurt's character to be believeable (which is bad because I usually like William Hurt) and I find Liv Tyler both untalented and unattractive, so there was that. Neither one of them sold me, and for that matter Tim Roth, who usually delivers, didn't work for me either. The story was somewhat engaging I guess. Then there was the heavy reliance on CG, which was also a bit hit or miss sometimes.

Interesting scene at the end there, pretty cool actually, but certainly not enough to save the movie. I wanted to put it in the same league as Iron Man, for obvious reasons, but it just wasn't up there.

The movie was creepy as shit. Some scenes were incredibly unsettling and creepy, but overall I had a hard time understanding what was going on. The acting/dialogue was cheesy.

I think everyone in the world should see Pulp Fiction just so they can get the stupid fanboy stage out their system and become functioning human beings once again.

    A Clockwork Orange - 9/10

My second viewing, definitely enjoyed it more than the first where I think I gave it 8/10.

A lovely little anime film. Brilliantly animated, lots of humour without being annoying/too cliche (even though it's set in a high school with romance and a magical girl and all that), with lots of really touching, heartfelt moments. I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend it to anyone.

It happens to everyone. Strangely enough, once I fell out of that phase, I slowly fell back into it after developing a new respect for Quentin, completely different to the one I initially had for him.

    The Hustler - 8.5/10

Great shit here. Quite a dark film about a loser who just happens to be a bad ass motherfucker on the pool table. The analysis of his relationships and his life is quite well flushed out and confronting for when it was made. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Girl Who Lept Through Time (omg wat) - 7/10

Wonderful animation, intriguing sometimes quite moving film, but it has its flaws, namely the fact that it doesn't know what sort of message or conclusion it wants to leave the audience with, which totally detracts from any lasting impact the film had on me. Not to say the film isn't great though, and I would recommend it.

Just got through season 2 and am 7 episodes into season 3... kind of a weak way to get out of the whole situation with U Turn, but whatev... I still like it, though, definitely so far not as good as the first two seasons.

I thought the story was great in the first 2 seasons and the 3rd season was funnier but with a weaker story. Have not watched the 4th season yet.

4th season is pretty poor, but still worth watching for some Doug/Andy hilariousness.

I watched Donnie Darko last night.

I don't like to rate comedies like dramas, just whether it was funny or not. This movie was funny because of all the supporting actors. Great cast for a comedy and the music references were nice.

Dan in Real Life. ***1/2/5. I liked it, very cute story, but I didn't feel close enough to the characters to care enough about the end of the film. Well-written and well-directed, just not well enough developed.
