Yeah, he's shite. Fails to do his job and doesn't even have the common decency to score the odd goal. I read recently his shots on target percentage is garbage. I hope he has a long career for Liverpool.

Speaking of Liverpool, they're really going absolutely the wrong way of dealing with the Luis Suarez case.

    I don't think they are.

Suarez doesn't have a case, so their statement as to why they're not appealing is perfect, as it "justifies" them for not making an appeal, yet not admitting that it's because the evidence is against them/they can't prove anything and allows them to object against the ban whilst agreeing with the policy against racism. Don't think they've got much more of a choice really.

You misunderstood me. I meant as in, they're going the wrong way by not apologizing over the incident, originally defending Suarez, and creating fuel for conspiracy theories.

Fuck Suarez. Maybe negro isn't disrespectful where he's from but it is in England and it is to Evra. He could have at least said he didn't realise it'd be disrespectful but he apologises nonetheless for causing offence. But no. Piece of shit.

Well, to be fair, "negro" just means black in Spanish.

Yeah but if I called a black gentleman a black cunt I'm sure he would have a word or two about my contextual use of the word black.

If I'm Suarez, and I think I'm right, which he clearly does, apologizing to the guy who's had me banned for 8 games and has the whole world hating me would be the last thing on my mind.

With regards to my own opinion? Get on with it.

Yeah, Ba is really, really good. Like a much better version of Adebayor. Shame he is leaving for the African Cup of Negros

Deal of the century, selling Carroll for 35 million and bringing in Ba for free?

Him, Cabaye and Tiote have been utterly inspired signings. Davide Santon is impressing me, too.

Unfortunately with Newcastle, there's always the danger that they'll all be sold.

It's certainly been a long time since Newcastle have had a striker of his all-round quality. He just knows where the back of the net is and always looks likely to find it. Going to really miss him while he's at the ACN

the thing is Newcastle will want top dollar now and who will pay it with his "ticking time bomb" knee? He's a beast...his record has been good at every club basically. Just hope his knee doesn't go pop

They're completely lacking any sort of creativity or drive in the middle. Says a lot that their best player tonight is 38 years old.

...Are you kidding me right now?

Maybe in Spain, but not in any Latin American country.

" El Negro" "Negrito", etc. are nicknames used all the fucking time to describe anyone who is dark, They don't even have to be African descendants.

And? Suarez said something like fuck you negro or whatever negro, and that means fuck you nigger. There would not be any racism in spanish if everytime one says negro they're just referrering to the colour black, we do not have two words like in english so everything is in the context

    Niggah

I mean if you don't see the difference between these two:

"Tengo un amigo negro que se llama ______"

    and

"Si no quieres que te dé una paliza, quítate de mi camino, negro"

Then I don't know what to tell you. It's the same word with different context, one meaning the colour black and the other one meaning nigger. Suarez surely used the second one so I don't see what's the problem. They're VERY careful with this shit in the PL, you get a lot of this shit in La Liga and nobody cares, remember Busquets calling Marcelo: MONO, ERES UN MONO.

I know that, but Suarez' argument is that he didn't say "negro" in a derogatory way. The problem is that the Brits are obsessing on the actual use of the word "negro" because of its connotations, without bothering to look into the context.

Negro de mierda is not racist. :danceAnd this is football. The only place I've ever felt I can be blatantly racist is in the Stadium (or in a friend's house where the maid is black) though I feel really uncomfortable screaming ¡¡¡MALDITO NEGRO HIJUEPUTA!!! Having said that, Suárez is not guilty imho.

pretty much the whole debate revolved around the context
