It's possible to fly directly into Lancaster, but since it's a small airport you'll be making at least once stop and it will be more expensive.
Bad news. Called Bonnie and she said a $92.00 rate. It's still only 12 bucks more than staying at something shitty like an Econolodge but I guess it's kind of high since a lot of you are actually flying in here. If you still want to RSVP to me and I'll figure something out. I'm really sorry...
I know. I feel really bad. I guess there's a lot of stuff going on other weekends around it and since the rate normally that day is like 150 bucks that's all the lower she wanted to go. I mean I don't blame her but I still feel hella bad.
That makes me feel better. Is there any easy way to figure out who can stay with who? I mean 92 is still a pretty sick rate, but I just wish it was lower.
I'm not worried about it. I feel like when it comes down to it I'll just split a room with some peeps and call it a night.
The only problem with that is I'd have to block a bunch of rooms. How it usually works is we put the group under a generic name (ie fiveeight) and then each person calls and gives their last name and credit card. They like to make sure people call in so they know how many people are actually coming so that way if the whole block isn't needed they can sell those rooms.
You can put me down for Friday night. How far is this hotel from where all the happenings are happening?
Twenty minutes maybe. I can fit four people besides myself in my car for the drive from Long's Park to the hotel.
Is there a closer hotel to the park or is it in the middle of nowhere? I don't care if it's a piece of shit.
Guys I DEFINITELY can't get into BWI or Philly (I checked both) before 1pm. That is seriously the earliest I can get in, there is literally only one flight. How much will I miss?
It will probably take you another 30 min to get through customs and such. which airport are you leaving from? (I can probably find you a better price/time)
Also just a suggestion. I've got a 37" tv with a 360, PS3, HD cable, and some blurays in my room. It also has a (kinda not great) drum set, guitars and half stack, and a bass amp. I can probably rig up a mic for singing too. If anyone would like to chill and watch movies/play games/watch TV/play music after the cookout I think that could be pretty fun. If not I'm hitting a bar. Because fuck yeah getting drunk with internetters.
I dunno which one in Lancaster would be closest and Long's park doesn't seem to have an exact address to check.
By the way I live literally RIGHT next to a bar. So if the cookout doesn't go mad late we could actually do both. And my right next to I'm talking like a ten yard walk if that.
Leaving from Glasgow International, if it comes to it I could also leave from Prestwick International but I doubt you'll find any from there. I'm 18.
hmm I foresee it going like this: we have the cookout with everyone, then after that basically there will be 2 groups: those that will go out drinking (over 21) and those that will do something else. Then the next day we trek to NY.
it's going to suck not going out drinking. am I THAT likely to get ID'd? I look real young but I've been sneaking into bars for years. how strict are things there?
sounds like the plan is some over 21-year-old buys us a crate from a convenience store and we get wasted while band practicing at grungeisdead's house
I think I might just kick my parents out for the night. It seems like the best option. Maybe put them up at the hotel for my employee rate...
