Yes, one of the top 10 releases of 2011 was flawed - and a band with 3 good to amazing releases had great potential.

    This news blows.

This is sad news, but the only one of their albums I really got into was Nocturne.

Digital Veil was perfect. At least these guys ended on a high note.

As long as AJ continues making some sort of music I'll be happy.

This is fucking horrible news :(

Edit: Wait, based on what Selva said, isn't a better term "on indefinite hiatus" ?

Fuck, I don't know. "We're on break or hiatus if you will" and "Periphery and Never Say Die were our last tours together as a band" say two pretty different things.

Drag. Those arpeggios in "Antebellum" really knocked my dick in the dirt. I think they'll be back with another album at some point though. Next time these guys pull themselves from the gallows AJ will be as big as Brock Lesnar.

fuck. i guess that's what happens when you have so many people from your band leave and/or come back again. i guess it's been on the cards since their last vocalist left. must be pretty tiring to have to deal with finding a new guitarist/vocalist/whatever all the time.

I agree with starslight, I think they could come back, but entering a hiatus with no vocalist definitely lessens the chance of a return :(

Why the fuck do you even post here? I have never seen you contribute anything worthwhile even once, and the only time you're ever acknowledged is when people tell you to shut the fuck up, like I'm doing now.

    This was pretty awesome.

I'd love to hear them do more classical until they find a vocalist.

Or just keep doing this I don't care.

Nocturne had some pretty bad ass tracks on it, thats all I own of theirs. Will def check out this "classical" piece they did shortly.

"Moonlight Sonata" is pretty fucking bad ass. 3:20 (or around there) scared the fuck outta me. I had it blasting at my work desk all mellow, and BAM!

Don't bother with Midheaven unless you're curious (it was the only album of theirs without AJ, the lead musician of the group, and it pretty much sucked). Digital Veil is fucking incredible.

Yea, the first single off of Midheaven deterred me big time, didn't listen to anything else on that one.

I thought Midheaven was great. Not as good as Nocturne, and nowhere near Digital Veil, but I wouldn't skip it just because it's not as good as 2 impressive releases.

To each his own but Nocturne and Digital Veil are 4.5-5 star albums for me, where as Midheaven is probably around 2-2.5. He should definitely check it out if he wants to, but given the fact that the first song deterred him, I can't see him enjoying the rest.

The way the distorted guitars come in is one of the most jarring things in existence and the musical equivalent to a youtube screamer vid.
