Announced today, Criterion is doing a partnership with Hulu Plus. Looks like this MAY include OOP titles, can't confirm yet. In any case, pretty amazing, especially since Hulu Plus will be part of PS3/Xbox Live stuff. Currently 150 titles on the Criterion Hulu page, more coming.

Hulu Plus looks nice but I already have Netflix. Too bad they hadn't partnered with them.

Doesn't Hulu Plus show commercials, even though you pay monthly for it?

And when is it being added to game consoles? I'm not even going to consider subscribing to yet another service if I can only watch on my computer.

that would be pretty shitty if true. I mean, I know we pay for cable and still see commercials, but with DVRs now you can almost circumvent that completely, and the cable bill also covers internet access. Hulu Plus is specifically a subscription for watching shows. If you pay for it, it should eliminate ads.

Isn't Hulu a network initiative? I'm sure there would be no issues removing commercials from things.

Only just watched it tonight. Extraordinarily powerful film, especially Fassbender's performance. The 17-minute single-shot conversation was just brilliant.

And the Panorama documentary included on the disc is fantastic as well.

Very excited about KISS ME DEADLY, although the existing DVD isn't bad. Also curious about BLACK MOON. Sounds like something I'd enjoy.

Most of them are wants for me, but none really jump out as absolute must haves. Depending on finances I'd like to pick them all up.

I've never seen anything by Satyajit Ray. Is The Music Room a good place to start?

Also, I forgot about this until now, but due to B&N's fucking ridiculous website which makes it impossible to cancel anything even if it tells you it's been canceled, I've ended up with two copies of each of the Sam Fuller Blu-rays (Shock Corridor and The Naked Kiss). Free to a good home as long as you don't already have them. Australia preferred for shipping purposes, but if catch_33 or He-Beast don't want 'em I'll open it up to everyone.

so, it's unreasonable to think that people are going to go to Amazon and look at the Criterion section when someone posts "go to Amazon now!" in a thread dedicated to Criterion? all the shit on sale is listed right there in your face in the gigantic top seller section.

I mentioned Blu-Ray.com in a later post because nomemf posted the following:
this is not rocket science and you're being a passive aggressive whiny faggot.

    ITT: idiots.

I picked up all the sale items that I don't already have:

    Le Cercle Rouge
    The Double Life of Veronique
    Fish Tank
    The Leopard
    The Mikado
    Senso
    Still Walking
    Topsy-Turvy
    White Material
    Yi Yi

Also picked up Chungking Express since it got canceled last time I tried to order it. Feels good man.

I want Le Cercle, Double Life, Broadcast News, Blow Out, and Yi Yi pretty bad, but I'm going to have to wait.

Good call on buying Still Walking, dude.

What was the total shipping cost of that order? If you don't mind sharing. Zorbo, Sam and others have told me the cost of shipping from US to AUS is pretty horrendous.

15 bucks for the "eight to ten years" shipping option. The two quicker options were 30 and 55 bucks respectively.

15 isn't too bad at all for an order of that size. but yeah, how long does it take to arrive? three weeks to a month?

the two higher options = fuck that shit

Yeah its estimated ship date was like mid-to-late June, but it'll be here a couple of weeks earlier than that.
