That's true, he was on the New Avengers or something right? I actually have an Avengers poster in my room with the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Wolverine and Spider-man on it. But I figured most people would say "Spider-man's not an ORIGINAL Avenger" and I'd rage
Can't wait for The Avengers to come out! Because that means we'll get the new Dark Knight Rises trailer.
My birthday is May 3 and as a buildup to the midnight premier, the theatre is showing Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America for 12 bucks. There's a bar right next door. My day is booked.
I meant the 9.0 from 5000 users. That is certainly higher than what the end score will be, but at that rate it will probably be over 8.0 or even 8.3, which is massive for IMDB.

I was commenting that commenting on the soundtrack is fucking retarded because nobody watches a fucking superhero movie so they can listen to good music, they watch because it's awesome and shit blows up, you fucking worthless cunt.
I pay special attention to soundtracks no matter the film. But it looks like there is orchestral music as well, so hopefully that other bullshit will be limited to the moments where characters are walking down the street and someone hears some shit coming out of a cab, or those moments where the superhero takes off flying for the first time with a swooping camera shot and all they really want is a big rock beat for ten seconds.
Plenty of people (people with good taste, that is), definitely watch movies and pay close attention to the soundtrack, particularly composed soundtracks, not the pop/rock shit used to advertise the movie.
Shhh, I'm trying to troll Elmo so he gets butthurt and whines to a mod, the mod comes in here, and I tell him to clean the mess up and delete the posts so everything is Spic n span.
Again, this is The Avengers, not Pi. I don't give a shit what music is playing when Iron Man flies around buildings.
I saw it yesterday in IMAX 3D. It's pretty good. Everything is balanced so well. I'd better keep my mouth shut, because I don't want to give anything away. Let it be a surprise.
Apparently Disney reshot a scene that Whedon loved for the final cut of the film. He seems pretty pissed about it.
Yeah this was pretty good. Not great, not amazing, but definitely not bad at all. It's pretty much exactly what you expect, nothing more, nothing less. Don't know if that's a good or a bad thing yet.
My theater that I always go to is also doing this, but I have to be up way too early for work to make all the way to the new movie. My roommate has the blurays of everything else so I'm not gonna bother that day.
This was really really fun. I had a great time, and I thought the pacing was great too, rather than just action for all 2 hours 20 minutes. Each character had their moment to shine and had their own story. The dynamic/dialogue between them was awesome, classic Whedon. Had me laughing out loud many times. One question though (and I'm sure comic book people can answer this as well as people that saw the movie - not really a big spoiler at all - re. the Hulk) Why was the Hulk able to control himself in the finale, but went mental when he turned green the first time?
The first time, he literally got angered (and partly because of Loki sort of turning everyone against each other?....remember when Bruce seemed to unknowingly grab the Loki's staff and they told him to put it down). He attacked Black Widow because they were all arguing with each other. I mean, I don't know if that helps explain it. The first situation, all the chaos was a huge surprise. Later on, Bruce knew he had to become the Hulk to help the team out. It's a good question that you've asked. Great movie. I thought all the prior movies were above average, but this one...damn. Joss Whedon has got it.
Ok. I get that some people have privileged access, but how have so many people seen this before release date?
One more thing. I normally hate 3d. I saw this in IMAX 3D and it was absolutely incredible. They made the 3d so subtle, so integrated, not in your face and gimmicky and it really really worked well. In fact, I thought it was so good that watching it without probably wouldn't be as good.
For once Europe gets a movie sooner than the USA. Makes me a happy camper:-) Just went and saw it last night. It's absolutely great. For a comic book/action movie of course. Don't compare this to Kurosawa or Woody Allen or anything. As mentioned before: the pace is great, in no way does this feel like a 2h20min movie. The most pleasant and surprising thing for me was how good the dialogue/funny bits were. Didn't expect that after the only average to good Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America movies. Special mention should go to the team who did the surround mix: an absolute beast of a mix, one that will no doubt shine on Blu-ray later on.
I hope he gets to explain what exactly was changed and why he didn't want it to be that way. Some day... Maybe.
Also, I feel the Hulk portrayed in this movie is by far the best version of the 3 Hulks in the past decade.
