I still have the original Deus Ex games from last year but when I try to play it informs me that it cannot find steam and then it loads up a web browser for some reason.
Just got around to installing Steam on my new MBP yesterday. Entered in Steam Keys for all of my Humble Bundle games. Sadly some didn't work (Notably Jamestown). Got around 30+ games.
sounds like you're not doing everything the game requires you to do during the part where the game teaches you how to play (I had similar problems). Make sure you use the save thing/first aid/ whatever the game wants to teach you or it won't let you proceed.
I can't remember exactly what you have to do in that room, but maybe that's because I never had any problem leaving it. As NikTh said, just do everything the game asks you to do. What problems are you having with Far Cry? I know it had serious problems working on anything above XP before the 1.4 patch was released, however I'm pretty sure the Steam version is 1.4 as standard, I haven't had a problem with the Steam version.
i did all of those things and nothing happens. the two dudes just stare at me like a pair of fucking statues
I dunno bro, I just remember having the same problems - try restarting everything and doing everything the game says. At first I went in with an attitude of "I know how to play games lol" and wouldn't bother saving/using health when the game told me and I ended up getting stuck. The game just kind of makes you its bitch for the first hour or so. If that doesn't help then I don't know, could be a bug.
amazon is having a sale on tons of games (maybe shaking their ass at steam?): http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-...games/2445220011/ref=zg_bs_nav_vg_2_979455011 the majority of them come with keys that are compatible with steam.
While Steam has no major sale, GreenManGaming has a 25% off on all the games. That includes preorders. So you can get Far Cry 3 for 25%(fc is already discounted for preorder and it stacks) or Guild Wars 2 for 56$ (standard edition). You also can sign up using a referral link from a friend and when you order something above 5$ you both get a 2$ credit. And some games you can trade back in for credit as well. It's a great site, been using it for a while and even got ME3 from them much cheaper than from Origin. http://www.greenmangaming.com/
Also, view your profile. You can earn badges, could be used for random giveaways at the end - who knows.
This whole voting what goes on sale thing is kind of crazy. Saints Row 3 for $12.50 is an awesome deal.
Old He-Beast would have spent $40 or so, but I'm staying strong this time. Looking out for a few if they're massively discounted, like Lone Survivor, Dustforce, Offspring Fling (which might be, I haven't checked). I'll probably get Bulletstorm if it goes for $5, as well.
Grumpy me says that I hope these do not go down in price as I already own them, however regular me says I hope they do get discounted as they're great games that should have more people play them.
I got that, Payday: The Heist, From Dust, the Binding of Isaac DLC and SSFIV:Arcade. Probably gonna get the SEGA pack too. Too much good shit in there to ignore it.
Got Alan Wake/DLC/American Nightmare for $10 and caved on Payday. Also fuck you I wanted Qube on sale
