    Give it away.

If you dont have any talent now there's no point in starting. People practice drums for years and never become good enough to make a living off of it alone. On the other hand people practice for 6 months, join a pop group and make millions so you never know. Unless of course you were just wanting a fun hobby that will keep you active and is a neat talent to show off if nobody knows you can play.

Yeah I wouldn't be doing it to get rich lol, just a hobby to keep me busy. But I think im probably to lazy to invest the time as of right now.

    Jesus christ.

Probably the worst post i've ever seen on this forum regarding learning to play music. You basically just said "Unless you are good at drums, don't bother trying to learn."

    Good one, asshole.

I vote that you start learning. I challenge any mortal human to not instantly sit down at a drum kit and start smashing away if there is one in a room. It's impossible to keep any band member away from a kit because they're so fucking entertaining. Besides, if you put your mind to anything, you can be pretty decent at whatever you want. Don't listen to 'talent' preaching douchebags.

pretty much. same thing with people who are complaining about the quality of the drum kit. you don't have to be a fucking prodigy with an expensive kit to play music. people here are annoyingly close minded sometimes. i remember some guy saying he walked out of a band rehearsal once, just because the guitarist was using a cheap guitar. JESUS CHRIST WHAT YEAR ARE WE IN

I would ditch those toms and just learn how to drop some basic beats with a three piece kick snare hi-hat... try to play along with some music... teach yourself some rudiments... check out Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer by Jojo Mayer... have fun...

Oh, also go fuck yourself, douche bag.
