Haha definitely the latter. You Only Move Twice would be firmly in my top 10 eps, probably top 5. With regards to yours, I think it's weird, but w/e. What a show.

My friend and I have gone through this entire blog as a stepping stone to discuss episodes, the guy does a pretty good write-up for each episode. He's getting a little whiny and overly offended reviewing Season 11 and I imagine he'll continue that for upcoming seasons. He also has an arbitrary, un-defined, fine line of what's acceptable and appropriate in an animated television sitcom and what's not and it's quite silly to watch him try to explain it. But overall he has a good sense of humor, points out the great jokes, has knowledge of the show, and sums each episode up fairly well.
And that they're stretching the series. You can only do so much in 14 years of being on the air, let alone to add another 10 seasons like they did, especially considering that a lot of TV shows barely make it to 100 episodes. Fox offers them extensions, and they enjoy what they do. What are they gonna say, no?
Never watched commentaries for this show before but because of this thread I will now watch all of them (that I own so far).
This was really awesome. And the writers themselves confirming that the show is still funny basically confirms that, while the first 10 seasons were really something very special in TV world, it's also a case of us "getting old" and rejecting the recent seasons.
I hope you realize the current show runner was in the damn room, he's not gonna say "yeah my seasons are worse than the old ones".
he was saying "my kid's a huge fan", not "I totally think today's episodes are on par with what we have done". And sure enough have I met people who laughed their asses off to newer eps who didn't grow up with the older ones.
Okay, this is factually the worst post in fiveeight history. Yeah, people always joke when they declare the 'worst post ever' and it's always stupidly unfunny, but no, this is as scientific as it gets.
