i think he rarely analyzes films on a very comprehensive or insightful level, but his reviews are definitely entertaining and i regularly check them out.
In his columns he doesn't, but I think he does write essays and stuff. I know he lectures at film schools.

Cancer's just a terrible thing to happen to anybody, and most of us know people who have fought or are fighting it (with some really devastating effects on their bodies and overall quality of life). I just don't see the appeal in viewing its victims underhandedly or cruelly at all. @Andres: fuck.
dont really agree with you here curb, its cool to make some fun of it. in fact ebert has made it a point to appear in public despite people warning him about tabloids etc. he was just like.... SO WHAT LET THEM. no one is going to hurt his feelings.
