Right now I'm about 2 minutes walking from a shooting

So if you remember, I made a thread about the shooting threat at NIU. Well, we did in fact have that shooting today. Everything is going on right outside my window. It's disturbing. You can hear the news helicopter so clearly, and there are firetrucks and ambulances from several neighboring cities here. It's such a strange feeling. I can't even begin to describe it...

Sucks. My friend says some guy killed a psychiatrist with a meat cleaver a couple blocks from her apt. and he's on the loose.

A viewer who e-mailed CBS 2 said that her brother was in the lecture hall where the shooting happened. "He says that the gunmen was a white male dressed in all black. He kicked the door in and opened fire. My brother dove under the desk, and popped his head up to see the gunmen was reloading. He grabbed his girlfriend's hand and ran to the library where they been in lockdown since."
