Just bought an avatar 1x12 w/ a G12H30 in it...orange tolex, wheat grill...should be cool. has a open/closed back conversion board. Should be fun to either run out of my extension cab or just use when recording.

My Bro just paid this dude from Philly $900 for a fucking 5-pieace Ludwig 1997 white pearl finish 'Super Classics' Kit. Pure Maple 4-ply, and seriously probably only played less than a dozen times. IMMACULATE condition. Plus a bunch of cymbal hardware, PLUS a set of three fucking k customs. This dude had absolutely no idea what he had. Kit used to belong to a rich friend of his, only played when they got together to jam. Friend moves away, eventually just tells him to sell the kit.

amazing find. lucky for his broke ass I'm not broke

One of the easiest feeling necks I've ever played. It's a very small neck but my hand never has trouble finding the right notes, and it has that kinda setup where you just have to barely press the string with your fretting hand and a nice full note rings out. I find that sometimes I don't dig the pickups for certain applications but they work really well for others. I'll be interested to know how it goes if you end up swapping them at some point. Enjoy that nice clean fretboard while it looks that way! :p I'm really overdue for waxing/oiling the neck but at the same time it kinda feels like "fuck it" and "my natural skin oils are all it needs"

Believe it or not, but the guitar is actually over 4 years old. I did restring it and clean it up a bit the other night though. I have no intention of swapping the pickups, but I see where you're coming from. My JPXI7 is definitely my main guitar, but this is a different beast and it's awesome.

I have no idea how old mine is, just that after I had it a while the fretboard lost that pristine look. I actually love the neck pickup, both for cleans and leads, and the bridge isn't bad... a bit punchy in the low mids sometimes, but sometimes it sounds great.

If you're curious about when it was made, you can post the serial number on the Ernie Ball forum and they'll tell you. There's a thread specifically for it.

First guitar amp I've owned. Haven't had a chance to crank it with a full band yet, but love the practice tone I've got from it.

Why, are they expensive? Well whatever they're worth in normal countries it'll be a fuckload more here. I don't really care because it's the only amp I played in stores that got me the sound I wanted.

Orange tone is bad ass... But that price tag kills me. I love that warm British tone, but I'll probably pick up a Laney next. Right now I'm playing through a Blackstar HT-60.

Turned down the chance to buy an Axe-Fx Standard for $650. Great price, but I have more than enough gear and I'd go for the II if I ever get an Axe. I do have something cool on the way though :glee

I'm not the hugest fractal fan, but at that price I'd be crazy not to buy it even if I only ended up using it as a rack FX processor.

No, but Paul posted on the Cynic forum that he was selling some stuff to eventually get an Axe-FX II. He also had a red ZT3, Steinberger Transcale, a Krank head, and one of the Fractals he used on Traced in Air etc. Not sure if those are still available.

    oh,
you mean the most widely used electric guitar ever, which almost every modern guitar is modeled after in some way or another.

oh ya, sure is...not one of those...

i can get some ping city out of this. i was kind of skeptical about not having a/r knobs...but whatever is driving how fast it attacks/releases seems to give favorable results most of the time.
