This is so awkward for me to watch, Nolly isn't even in Periphery, and if he is now, he definitely wasn't when this was recorded.
I have no idea what's going on with their line up. Who left? Who of the replacements are permanent/temporary?
First Nathan left, then AJ Minette rejoined and they got a new vocalist Chris Barretto, but then he left and now the have a new vocalist Daniël de Jongh.
Neema formerly of Monuments is now the bassist and I heard Daniel Tompkins formerly of TesseracT is now on drums
Some guy in this Australian band who talks to Nolly and guise online told me that Nolly is standing in as the full time bass member, and when I mentioned Red Seas Fire he said "yeah but that band is failing miserably, their tour was a complete failure etc, of course he'd rather be in Periphery, who are playing shows all over the world" I guess it makes sense, but obviously until that is made as an official statement from the band I'd just consider it as hearsay
Also I am so stoked for the new album(s) now, I've been listening to Scarlet quite a bit over the last few days, this song is so fucking awesome.
well Nolly just posted on his fb recently about looking forward to playing the UK Tech Metal Fest with RSF, so I dunno, as great as touring with Periphery would be I wonder if he'd miss playing guitar too much because Periphery isn't THE most interesting job in the world as a bassist, but it'd still be good so I have no idea what he's gonna do
Exactly what I was thinking, especially when you're a guitaraholic with 100 customs. I guess there's just a lot of behind-closed-doors politics that go on and ultimately we aren't always going to know every little detail of what and why.
It is kind of weird 'cause Nolly's a fucking world-class shred ninja, but I guess bass is fun to play too so WHY NOT.
True... Yeah when they made the update on facebook, people were excited that it was actually going to be a track from the new album. Still a good track though but nothing totally new for a lot of people.
lol'd. But seriously, I am SO stoked for Scarlet on the new album. Listen to the instrumental version, best track of the pre-existing 'new' songs
There is a first time for everything! EDIT: Except i just remembered that Captain On would count as that!
so bulb, are you guys gonna audition new bassists or do you have someone in mind already, or is Nolly joining? (awesome set at Wembley btw, I was there with Browne and Lulu)
goddammit. now i have no reason to listen to this band anymore. btw i might have asked u this before, but where can i get a Periphery t-shirt? (preferably long-sleeve)
I had a dream that Bulb gave me a haircut last night. When he was done I saw he dyed my hair! At first it looked like old man blonde hair but then he styled it and it was like a shaggy japanese surfer haircut, gold with red highlights. He sold me a bag with many awesome things in it, but I can't remember what. And all throughout it was very lifelike. My girlfriend really was digging the hair too.
That's a pretty good Corey Taylor he's got going on there. Also makes me realize I like Corey Taylor's vocals more than Spancer's... TO SPENCE>R: ! SINGLE IILE THIS IN THE FUTURE FOR ALMBUIS.
