Fuck, I've been waiting to hear this song with vocals for a long time now. Can't wait to get home and listen to it.

Probably my most anticipated album, along with Animals As Leader's release as well. I'd do anything to be anywhere near as good as Misha, fuck.

Sounds bitchin'. With this and the new Arusha Accord, the next few months are going to be awesome.

No clean vocals? Kind of odd for Periphery. But this guy's harsh vocals are quite awesome as well, anyways. By the way, the ending of this song is fucking incredible :rollin :rollin :rollin

Just started listening...have heard the song 100 times before without vocals, so nothing special so far. Cool vocals...

Yeah, it took me quite a few listens to get in to because I'm so used to Jake's (excellent) take on it, and I sort of prefer the guitar sound on the instrumental version... That said, it's fucking badass, and Chris' harsh vocals are world-destroying, so I'm really starting to love it.

Yeah, the guitar solo is so much better on the instrumental.
That being said, the vocals are really awesome...

Pretty killer, although I think I liked Jake's take on this particular song a little better. It might just be because I've listened to the older version much more, though.

I think this song is heavy enough to get away with no clean vocals.

Yeah, its cool for Periphery to have an all heavy song, there will be lots of melodic moments on the album for sure.

I'm definitely digging this song, having listened to it about 15 times now :P

Fantastic take on the song. Now all they need to do is clean up the production a bit by lowering the kick volume and bringing the guitar up to the front, and it'd be perfect.

this is terrible, most monotonous harsh vocals I've heard in a while, and the music is like Meshuggah at its most boring.

Try "Buttersnips," it's their best song imo. If you're not awed by the clean tapping bit, then leave NAO.

...Yet you like Tandjent and Mistaken Element? Hmm.

I'd have thought you'd take to some of their songs like Buttersnips, Insomnia and Unleash the Pwnies, which don't sound very Mushuggahy at all.

We might have some good news soon regarding the drummer situation. They've taken the 'auditioning drummers' part out of their username and posted this in a reply in the blog post about Orbo:

"Announcement soon, but everything is going to be ok now, better than ok actually, our live show is going to get taken to the next level i think!"

    Sounds promising?

    Is that

Apparently he's very groovy too, "in the pocket"

    or

Apparently he's very groovy, too "in the pocket"

    ???

I know it's more likely the former, but it's possible you meant the latter since we're talking about a techy band and it could imply the person they got is too straight forward for your taste. This is why punctuation and word choice matter, people

im not sure lashie knows what in the pocket really means, but in their blog post they want someone that knows how to groove at times too so.

What does that have to do with anything?

The facepalm was in reference to the fact that they've been working on the album for ages, isn't it practically finished?

Well out of what I know, they've just been releasing one track at a time. There's no real mention at this point of a track-listing or anything. At least they have a vocalist now though.

Actually, you'll be pleased to know that they did put out a tracklist a few months back :):

    The Walk
    Letter Experiment
    Insomnia
    Far Out
    Totla Mad
    Not Enough Mana
    Light
    All New Materials
    Zyglrox
    Absolomb
    Racecar
    Ow my feelings
    Project 15

But now they're apparently going to be removing Project 15 (one of Orbo's songs) and Though to make room for Buttersnips and Unleash the Pwnies - an excellent move I think.

Still, I'm with you on the wanting an album soon thing. I'm not sure exactly how long I've been listening to them, it was since some time before Orbo was in the band and they only had two guitarists, but even back then there was promise of an EP release right around the corner, and since the it's just been delay after delay. It's not their fault, so I'm not pissed off about it or anything, it'd just be awesome to finally have a proper release.

Didn't think it'd take them that long to find one tbh. There'd be drummers coming in in droves to play for these guys.
