Now this is great stuff. The first song was okay but this is just amazing, really, all the stuff I like best about Meshuggah. Lots of old-school DEI stuff mixed with the Nothing sound and also some newer elements. I like how the riffs seem to evolve with time. And the guitar solo...
hot damn this fucking track, shades of straws pulled at random, shades of soul burn (general DEI as mentioned), but a fresh sense of groove. not that they didnt groove prior (lord knows they fucking did), but this... im just enjoying this. wont listen again for at least a few days though
Both songs are awesome. Really looking forward to this album. It really does feel more "organic" in these songs and it works very well. Love Fredrik's soloing
