For those of you unable to use the MP forum but are keen to know Mike is up to, I'll give the gist of his last few tweets posted to his site: he wishes it to be known that he's done some 3D/HD updates to his home theater. That's first. In the next tweet, he wants you to know that "in addition to upgrading my home theater to 3D/HD/BluRay, I've added the new Premier Elite to my TiVo army". That's second. Oh, and if anyone wants a free copy of the AMOB EP (the one for which there were almost no copies left a month ago and was our last chance to buy one), you should sign up to the AMOB newsletter. That's about it.

Just heard "Come Undone" by AMOB. "This track is just...RIDICULOUS!" as MP says. Really, Mike? Really? It's fucking generic garbage. I know it's a cover, but it's still instantly forgettable. What the hell has happened to the guy's sense of taste and musical discrimination. I understand he's trying to hype his new band and build it up from the ground, but he must realize that sooner or later people are actually gonna hear this musical turd, remember his words, and think: "What the fuck were you talking about? You're the guy who played a part in Images and Words, Awake, Scenes, Six Degrees, etc...THIS is what you now consider to be mind-blowing music?"

I really like how he keeps pandering to the metal crowd by rehashing all the lame clichés about progressive music. Yeah, right, you totally need a calculator to enjoy MP's earlier bands and projects. However, the best thing about the interview was how it kept saying "Dream Theatre", yet the author somehow managed not to write "Flying Colours".

That has been the challenge so far, getting people to put there pre-conceptions aside and listen to this for what it is." My God, he is either completely clueless or stubbornly naive. He keeps talking like his fans are not digging AM because they want progressive stuff, or because they have preconceived notions of what kind of music he should be playing. when in reality people are not liking it because it is not good music.
Shmev, you are so narrow minded - just because something isn't prog, doesn't mean that it's 'not good music'.
