I was listening to K-State's conservative radio and it was basically conservapedia-lite. In the span of 30 minutes, they managed to deny global warming, call Obama a radical marxist, refer to Glenn Beck as good source of news, say Sarah Palin would make a good president, and belt out a stellar version of Never Gonna Give You Up.
It doesn't have articles that claim that satanism helps people fear death less and kill themselves like real men do, does it?
It does. You just have to be a card-carrying member of both ACLU and NAMBLA to access this section of the site...
While there are ample trolls on that site, I have met several people IRL that have a worldview completely consistent with conservapedia's. So yes, not only can people be that stupid, but there are also a great deal of them in the U.S. EDIT: and just to be thorough, I forgot a few satires from my previous post: http://www.conservapedia.com/Essay:...with_goodwill,_charitableness,_and_good_cheer http://www.conservapedia.com/Essay:_Great_and_inspiring_art_by_atheists_on_atheism
Fucking bleeding-heart liberals and their bullshit theories about the curvature of spacetime: http://www.conservapedia.com/Counterexamples_to_Relativity
Reading their counterexamples to evolution page, I came across this: I like how they understand the first thing about the theory.
The sad thing is, I've heard that argument before from other sources, so it's definitely not a troll. Also, lol @ the giraffe argument in the evolutionary counterpoints page. These people seem unable to grasp that evolutionary change results from a combination of natural and sexual selection. Giraffes and their necks are actually really strong evidence for evolution because of the extremelly illogical path of their recurrent laryngeal nerve.
Video from the news feed and a large number of pages on conservapedia, presumably approved by Schlafly, where atheists are asked to 'prove' atheism: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXmWivdjjPI"]YouTube- Ex-atheist Christian biker conquers the atheist experience show[/ame]
8. The action-at-a-distance of quantum entanglement.[5] 9. The action-at-a-distance by Jesus, described in John 4:46-54.
Hey guys let's take a quiz: http://www.conservapedia.com/Open-mindedness I'm surprised--I only got 11 yes's, apparently I am simply borderline close-minded
I can't imagine a test more obviously geared to earn conservatives higher (or I suppose lower, in this case) scores than liberals. Also: Do you resist admitting that something you accepted for over a decade is, in fact, completely false? Answering yes to that doesn't make you close-minded, it makes you every human being ever. Anyone who answers no is a liar.
What kind of question is that? It implies that I already think that there is the possibility, but I'm hiding it. They should be proud, their first question convinced me that this possibility is smaller than the possibility of winning the lottery 50 times in a row.
BTW, apparently this^ essay was written by one the main administrators to conservapedia, so it's definitely not a troll Let that sink in for a minute. The person who wrote that actually meant what they are saying. Seriously, think about it. They weren't joking. Seriously. Holy shit.

Conservapedia's idea of winning a debate: http://www.conservapedia.com/Essay:...end_to_win_the_creation_vs._evolution_debates
I've always seen that link, but never actually clicked on it. I figured it would link to some BS study done by the Barna Group. Looks like I overestimated the conservapedians.
I love how Conservapedia's entire argument in that article is that the fact that scientifically uneducated people are more swayed by creationists than by scientists is somehow relevant to anything other than providing more evidence that science should be left to scientists rather than laypeople/conservapedia authors.
but surely billions of years of evolution couldn't culminate in something so idiotic and ill-conceived... ? Just another example that evolution merely shapes organisms in a fashion where they're well adapted to their environment, rather than driving organisms towards 'perfection' as some creationists mistakenly believe. Well, these are the same people guilty of consistently pulling ad populus fallacies like '70% of Americans don't believe in evolution, so it can't be true!', not to mention their completely idiotic concept of 'The Best of the Public': http://www.conservapedia.com/Best_of_the_public (notice how one of the intellectual examples listed in the article is Schlafly's 'exposition' of the 'flawed' Lenski paper)
can we please start an "intelligence cleansing" of sorts to eliminate certain vermin such as these from the gene pool?!?
Oh man I fucking love how the link to the Lenski talk page (with the letters where he fucked up Schlafly's shit) is with the words "petulant rants."
http://www.conservapedia.com/Counterexamples_to_an_Old_Earth And just to be fair and present all sides: http://www.conservapedia.com/Counterexamples_to_the_Bible
jesus christ monkeyballs. great thing about conservapedia is that it gets better with age. opposite is true for the other "cp" though
Good to know that conservatives know what the word "counterexample" means. I was starting to worry that they didn't.
I saw Santa Claus yesterday having sex with the Easter Bunny, while the Tooth Fairy was having the Invisible Pink Unicorn for lunch. What proof and evidence can you provide that PROVES that the THEORIES denying their existence are accurate and correct? A common evolutionist trick of pushing work on others for them to try to prove evolution wrong doesn't work here. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim. Invisible pink steaks look quite tasty by the way.
