i find the people bitching about the afghan troop increase hilarious. obama's platform was taking the troops out of iraq and sending them to afghanistan to take out the terrorists where they actually are. i thought that was understood. at least that's what i supported.
Except they're not in Afghanistan but in Pakistan. Most of his supporters thought he was bluffing to butch up vs McCain.
He also made it clear that he was going to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor, end torture, close Guantanamo, create a public jobs program and declare healthcare a right. All of which were fake bullshit promises to get votes. Of all the promises he broke, it is too bad this wasn't one of them. I still don't know why we're there. I get that it was cool in '02 to take revenge on the evildoers but reinforcing cockpit doors and negotiating a truce is a lot cheaper than sending 30k bottom ten percenters to find 100 bad guys.

There are not enough of the @#^&!*^$#^% keys on the keyboard to strongly tell Obama where to go and what I would like to say. I know he/his administration has something to do with this. I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah. All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq? The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter. As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.

Aren't those soldiers supposed to act in a certain way? An eye for an eye?...is that your philosophy? What's the point of that war when you're reasoning that we should all act the same way they do... Can't say for sure if you're trolling, or your mind is at the same level of those sheep herders.
