1. Intro Pink Floyd-esque lead guitar while a voice-over states: It is the year 2927... The Interstellar Empire rules the stars, hunting down the Rebel Rock Stars everywhere they live. Now, all hope rests with one man, Rockith A. Rollerheimer, who is in a coma in a small hospital on Titan...
*EPIC RHAPSODY KEYBOARDS + CHOIR VOCALS* RISE ROCKITH, for you must save the day! RISE ROCKITH, for you must save the galaxy!! THE EMPIRE MUST FALL, THE EMPIRE MUST FALL! RISE ROCKITH, TO SAVE THE DAY! Rockith mysteriously awakens, to find himself in a hospital totally alone
*Comus-esque violin riff kicks in* somewhere on the other edge of the Portis-B system, a small clan of revolutionaries drifts slowly towards Titan with intentions of destroying the hospital, assuming that several Interstellar Empire Police reside there. they have no dea that their last chances as rock stars lie with the comatose man...
Return to ambient guitar noises with shimmery sounding percussion. Voice-over begins again: The reckoning has begun. Rockwith has awoken. The rebels are near. Fate has brought them together. The time is now. Ambient noises speed rapidly and crescendo in a cymbal crash as the voice-over says 'now'. End of track 1.
2. Shall We Strike? *lead singer sings in a high voice, to indicate he's a female* We cannot do this Without my love Rockith must come back *lower voice* Rockith was our leader But now he is dead We must continue on our track *high voice* But what if he's alive? Somewhere, he rests Waiting for someone to awaken him *low voice* We must go to Titan And defeat the Empire It's the only way that we can honor him
*massive male/female harmonies* ROCKWIIITH, WE MUST KNOW IF YOU'RE ALIVE WITHOUT YOU WITH US, OUR REVOLUTION WON'T SURVIVE YOU'RE OUR ONLY CHANCE, SAVE US THIS DAY IF YOU AREN'T HERE, THIS PLAN WILL NEVER FIND A WAY!
*organ playing single note every few seconds with some cheesy very slow jazz figures on the bass... over this, the singer sings to the melody of Pachelbel's Canon in D* ROOOOOOOOOCKITH Rockith! ROCKITH ROCKITH ROCKIIIIITH Rockith rockith rockith ROCKITH ROCKITH! ROCKITH, KITH, KIIIITH! *gong, followed by extremely fast keyboard/guitar unisons and return to chorus*
*Sweet Bass harmonics* *Sweet double bass pedal work* RAAAAHHHCKCKKCKKITITTTTTHHHHH!!!! *Pew* Quiet... Just the slow hum of the keyboard playing a G#m7b5 in 4 different octaves and the guitar amps fuzzing and crackling... *Quietly* Rockith...It is time... (But then...) BACK INTO ACTION WITH A NEW FOUND HOOOOOPE! WE SHALL CONQUER THE IN-TER-STEL-LER EM-PI-RE! ('Intersteller Empire' heavily stacattoed) Guitar: NEEWEWWWWWWWW! new new new new new.....new new new newwwwww...new new new new new new newwwww.... Newwwww.... Newwwwwwwwwwwwww.... *The steady 43/14 beat of the drums*
Tomas Haake isn't just anybody, you and most other drummers might not be able to do it, but that doesn't means he can't. Enter: abrupt shift to the calm, yet moody section with piano, 12-string guitar, flute, oboe, cello, Middle Eastern percussion, and fretless bass.
Ace! Heavy-metal riffage section kicks in with music quotations from Boston, Hatebreed, Winger and Limp Bizkit, all in 7/23 of course.
The empire is coming *riff* They've found our hide-out *riff* Their capitalist dogs of war will enforce their antithetical non-dialectical philosophies upon us and enslave the proletariat for eternity *keyboard farting noises* We've got to get out! YEAH! Oh no! The bourgeosie! *crazy piano solo over bombastic drums with bassoon and trumpets playing a war march* HELP US ROOOOOCKLIIIIITH!
[Rocklith] What are these voices I hear?! *riff* I'm in a hospital! *riff* I'm leading a revolution! *2 beats of ragtime* I REMEMBER IT ALL!! *continue crazy piano solo over bombastic drums with bassoon and trumpets playing a war march, while repeating the above line*
*Death growls start here, backing growls in brackets* DEATH (Murder!) PAIN (Hurt her!) WRATH *Death growls end, soaring majestic vocals take over from here) OF ROCKOLITH!!! Courage and honour And strength of survival And will to rage forward And battle forever more... *Guitar holds powerchord as acoustic guitar fades in playing melody in 3/8*
Abrupt change to track #3 *rocky 4/4 section out of nowhere* Eddie (Rocklith's old friend): I remember it all I remember rock'n'roll YEAH YEAH YEAH *organ build-up* Nobody gonna take my revolution Gonna win it in the end Nobody gonna take my spaceship I travel along light bends Oooh, capitalism is a killer machine They take everything! Stealing from the workers Take our lives and EVERYTHING I'LL STOP THEM I NEEEED TO I SEE THEM Yeah, I'm a mad socialist I'm a spaceship star! *sudden inappropriate shift to an ambient section with war sound effects in the background* *gradual build-up via drum & bass with more crazy sound effects of war explosions and such with an absurdly deep-voiced narrator reciting figures about agricultural funding from the federal government. We finally skip back to the rock section, but with tricky time-signature tricks thrown at it* I'LL STOP THEM I NEEEED TO I SEE THEM Yeah I'm a really good pilot I'll blow up their I'll blow up their I'll blow up their eeeevil DEATH STAR! FOR ROCKLITH! *track ends with cheesy spaceship effects*
New track starts with sweep picking arpeggio stolen from an Yngwie instructional video (but played cleaner.)
The remainder of track 4 is a spoken word track (spoken by Sir Ian McKellen) recounting Rockolith's childhood. "I'm sorry, we'll have to amputate" "I NEVER LOVED YOU!" "Wow...that boy sure can play guitar"
"Cornelius, I reject your science!" Eddie: "We'll be together forever... right Rocklith?" "There are other worlds than these..." "we came in..." "Open your eyes Rocklith..." "This is where -"
Track 5 starts with a bang. Guest rapping by DMX and Redman. "We're from the hood, and we're here to say Rockolith's rockin' in the USA!" etc.
We're from the hood, and we're here to say Rockolith's rockin' in the USA! Remember da blood! Remember da pain! Remember the sorrows Of our spaceship game! A CHIKKA CHIKKA NEW NEW! Yeah, Uh uh, Oh yeah, Ahhhhh Sixteen years later Still doin' the same But livin' in da backstreets It's a nu kinda game! Remember the sorrow! Remember the lies! Remember that our sins Are just becuz we played! *Bass solo*
Bass solo leads to Quaalade Thunder. End with double bass. 6: New Reality (Old Way, Pts. 1 and 2(The Truth)) Classically inspired electric guitar riff on top of tribal drums. And a digeridoo. Bite me. I remember the old way/How we all used to be/How we felt something called pleasure/When we knew how to be happy But the old time is gone/Washed beneath the seas/And on the rise again/Is a new reality. 6:00-ish guitar bit.
*Music fades, then we hear slow beat of timpani drums (not unlike Magnum Opus)* Tenor voice kicks in- In days of old the Empire grew With peace and loving solitude Young Rockolith played 'neath the gilded skies. Not knowing why Men had to die At the hands of his father Tempus Vox *Power chord* *Rockolith screams* "NOOOOOOOO!!"
[Tempus Vox] ROCKOLITH MY SON, YOU AND I WILL BE ONE WE CAN RULE THIS GALAXY IF YOU ALLOW IT ABANDON YOUR REVOLUTIONARY THOUGHTS AND JOIN THE INTERSTELLAR EMPIRE THE UNIVERSE CAN BE OUUUUUUUUUURS!
[Rockolith] NO! HOW CAN YOU SAY SUCH THINGS? WHEN WE BETRAY OUR BROTHERS WE CAN NEVER REIGN AS KINGS! IN DAYS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I THOUGHT YOU KNEW IT ALL BUT AS IT STANDS YOU ARE A TRAITOR, SO I CHALLENGE YOU TO DUEL! *cue epic guitar and keyboard duel with sound effects of Tempus Vox and Rockolith engaged in mortal strife over the top*
[Tempus Vox] You think you know better than me? But son if only you could see Your foolish ideology Can't stand up to capitalist supremacy! *guitar / keyboard duel rages on*
[Rockith] I can't believe it's come to this! Life should have been a peice of piss Can you not remember love's first kiss? Back when you still loved MOOOOOTHEEEER!!!!! *echo / fade out* mother, mother, mother, mother..... *upbeat acoustic guitar comes in, starting track 7: Lillith (The Dragon Matriarch)*
