This is a strange band for me. I listen to them in short bursts, It's always awesome at first then I get sick of it very quickly. My favorite is probably Brave Murder Day.

Same thing for me Bradley. I think I am gonna pick up Tonight's Decision and see how that hits me since I heard it originally in 2001.

Plus they already released the digibook version of NitND in August. I was thinking about buying that but now with these new ones coming out I don't even know.

Fuck - so excited for a new album. Night Is The New Day = 5/5

And I hope they work with Frank Default on keys again because he added so much to their sound.

Sweet, it'll be really interesting to see what direction they take this time. And LFDGD was my favorite album of theirs for quite a few years, so a live DVD of that will be awesome. They have so much layering and atmosphere that it's hard to imagine it even coming close to the album itself though.

Good news. I really like Katatonia. However, my biggest problem with them has always been that they make their song so samey. Almost all song being of equal length, having the same structure and so on. Looking forward to this very much none the less.

it's my favorite CD from them

I remember a lot of it feeling samey on my first few listens, but there are so many layers to it

Anything been released from the new album? I honestly haven't listened to/heard anything from Katatonia since I saw them with Opeth a ways back.

Really great musically. Kinda lolworthy lyrics, but that might just be because they're scrolling at the bottom as if they're so good I should be paying attention to them or something.

hmm, really good. kinda all over the place, more proggy and sounds more like the style of The Great Cold Distance again. also strong Tool in some parts.
