~ It is like he knew his death was to come, so he made this NIN song his own. Brilliant!

~ For sure. I give Trent his props. The song and lyrics are incredible. However, I love how Cash made this song his own.

~ Yes, I just purchased the CD, American IV:The Man Comes Around, it is quite excellent. I love how Cash puts his own signature on those songs... a surprise was Bridge Over Troubled Water, I never knew he could pull the vocals off for that song. Brilliant CD. A must buy!

Yes, it's amazing, however I'd still take the original over Cash's version any day.

It's a good cover, but the original is far, far better.

Also, while we're on the subject (sort of) of songs/albums where the artist knew they were dying, Queen's last two albums and Bob Marley & The Wailers last album, Uprising, are essential listening.

I will say this about Cash's Hurt, the video is fucking moving.

~ I wouldn't say far better. Cash made that song his own and the video is simply
one of the best music videos ever.

The live version off of And All That Could Have Been is the best.

Beautiful cover, I prefer it to Reznor's although his is good.

Cash's version is one of the most emotionally taxing and beautiful songs ever recorded.

Lol comments on that page... reading comments on YouTube makes me gag.

This song, however, makes me shiver. The part where he starts pouring out the wine glass is like :( :(
