Especially CJ, our singer. He looks a lot like Spencer Sotelo. I don't see the resemblance anywhere besides that, though.
Nothing? Uh... Blonde, usually spiky hair Tall Stubble/Facial hair Generally just wears Jeans/Tee shirt Similar bone structure and physique It's not like a twin, but he looks a lot like him
since when was Spencer blonde, ever? Your'e right though, a tall guy that wears jeans and tshirts looks a lot like Spence
It's the same hair color and similar hair cut, plus constant stubble/facial hair, they have the same body type, their faces have similar bone structure, they wear similar clothes and they both sing. I dunno, I see plenty of resemblences.
I want a 5-banger bubinga Corvette, but it'd just be the heaviest matter in the universe, so I'm not so sure.
Turns out my band's new picture is the coolest band pic I've ever seen: http://www.imagesforindustry.com/lb/_auto/flash/images4_lbw.html Go to the bottom right when it starts playing and click where it says 'Juxstavoices' to see our pic - it plays automatically - or if you click you can click-n-drag the whole 360 image. There's about 10 members missing, heh.

Spencer Weird faux hawk shaved hair cuts, usually dyed Very short. Shorter than all the other members Okay, yes, facial hair I don't know what he wears But no, I don't see the resemblance.
orly In that case i'll go blow 3 grand on a shitty les paul that has inherent design flaws, weighs 500 pounds, and has shitty stock electronics.
Or grab a Steve Vai Gem over a shitty $200 Ibanez RG and compare the woods and electronics of those two. I used to agree with you about how shittily made cheap guitars can be just as good as other expensive ones, and then I got into a band where everyone had a guitar that was $1,500+; My little Ibanez RG7321 doesn't compare to my singer's 7-string John Petrucci model. I replaced the pickups, though!
...I'm not remotely naive. I grew up poor with a shitload of cheap instruments and that's all I've played until like a year ago. Sorry dude, but more expensive instruments (with the exception of like Gibsons and Fenders) are just a shitload more comfortable and naturally a lot better than the shitty little $200 guitars, even when you change the pickups and electronics and nut and etc, it's just not the same feel, particularly with Ibanez and Schecter. And although with a MIM Fender strat you can get a good sound and feel, those $1,500 ones just feel so fucking comfortable.
The point that Chrono was making was that someone who is inefficient with a cheap guitar is not going to play better with a more expensive guitar. The instrument is just an instrument. It doesn't do anything unless there's a player behind it. I've never judged a musician by the instrument he's playing. That would be stupid. I've heard expert musicians do amazing things with very little. It really does have so little to do with the instrument. When you find yourself thinking, "This isn't sounding the way I want it to." That's probably a sign that your technique needs work. Not that you need to replace the instrument. I will give you this... there are better instruments than others, but that does not reflect on the player in any way. As long as the condition of the instrument doesn't hinder their ability to play it to the best of their capabilities, there really isn't a relationship. You might not like the tone or the action of the strings, but as long as you don't let that show through in your playing, generally speaking people aren't going to recognize that the music your playing is less good because the instrument your playing isn't top of the line.
I never said that he was good because his instrument is expensive. I think you missed the argument here. I said that I thought his bass might be good because it was really expensive, but I don't know anything about basses. Then Matt said "Lol Les Paul lol" and I was like "Yeah but other less extreme example". And then you popped in.
get a good setup, then talk to me ive never had playability issues when playing a guitar, its mostly just a matter of preference. I don't get this "I can't play on this guitar" thing, because it's never really been an issue to me. if you want a tapered radius on your fretboard, and thinner neck, then get that kind of guitar...but neither is inherently better if you have a good setup
Fucking WORD. Christ, Gibson are so shitty. MASS-PRODUCED GUITAR WITH THE SAME STRING THAT GOES OUT OF TUNE AS SOON AS YOU PLAY IT ON EVERY SINGLE ONE IN THE WORLD EVER MADE = CLASSIC DESIGN.
