The iPhone's been out for nearly 3 years now and only now are competitors starting to measure up. That said, Droid isn't that phone.
I don't give a fuck about mobile devices, but the Droid runs on free open-source software, whereas Apple is the enemy of freedom worldwide, so...
word. It may not be up to par with the iPhone's total capabilities yet, but at least it's not powered by dry anal fisting (Apple). Instead, it's powered by dogs who wear sunglasses and lean out of truck windows and say "sup mang" (Google).
I love the iPhone to bits, and it has for some time been significantly better than anything available., but I havent used the Droid, yet, and I'm interested. Just whatever you do, nothing Windows Mobile.
Droid because you can do fucking however much you want at the same time and, as stated before, it's all open source meaning old game system emulators are already on there without Apple's giant dick stopping it. I love my Droid Eris, and I've had an iPhone so unlike 98% of the people in here my opinion is educated.
I mean Droid is cool and all but when it comes to functionality and apps it doesn't really hold a chance candle.
I've been wanting an iPhone for the longest time. When is it coming over to Verizon? I could have sworn it was for the longest time unless that was a baseless rumour. My friend has the Droid and she absolutely loves it.
I dunno my friends who have droids are like man I wish I had that app. I have never heard anyone say like man check out the app in my DRIOD!
Yeah, as much as I dislike Apple, when I had the misfortune of being presented an iPhone 4 to play with it the first thing I did was try to replicate the antenna issue. Key word try. I wasn't able to make it drop service at all.
They don't have to put tape on it..... because they can't make calls anyway on AT&T's crappy network.
Seriously LOL @ people having issues with iphones. I have terrible service at home, I'd have to gorilla palm it(basically as if I were choking a baby) for it to drop down to Searching/No Service from 2 bars(pre 4.0.1). Now, with my case, it's not even an issue. Fragility not an issue. The phone is great. I do wish I had a bit more freedom with it, but most anything I want to do.. There's an app for that. That's one thing that will be Android's ultimate downfall. Until they reign in these faggot phone makers and stop them from coming out with new android devices every... week, I really can't see it being that great. I see no one coming out with a device to trump Apple if they keep approaching it in the current fashion. They need to invest entirely in a single amazing phone.
Jailbreaking, unlocking, rooting, never were illegal. The companies may have wanted you to think that, but at most it voids your warranty. You own the hardware and as such installing whatever you want on it is perfectly within your rights. What Apple and other manufacturers were trying to push for was penalizing the potential copyright violation of people distributing their code in part of jailbreaks. However, look at how these hacks work and you'll see how pointless that argument is. This was simply a ruling making it entirely clear that there were no legal ramifications to something that everyone already knew there were no legal ramifications for - all it is is a court precedent.
