Currently listening to the album, and the Opeth influence is very blatant, but used in a very good way. Really good stuff, could become one of my favorites of the year.

They're pretty good, but not one of my favorites.

Shrouded Divine was one of the best metal albums of last year. Excited to hear what they do next.

Seems like quite the improvement over Shrouded Divine which I, now after getting back to it for the first time in forever, find to be nothing more than simply good. It's rather by the numbers and safe. Monolith sounds like it could age a bit better.

On my first listen of the new album "The Weight of Oceans" and pretty blown away... Definitely recommended for fans of BWP-era Opeth, although it's not exactly the same. It's also has some of the kind of feel I get from funeral doom, and a little bit of the apocalyptic forest feel I get from Agalloch.

man, this album is fantastic. i have such a weak spot for metal like this. i just wish there were no clean vocals, although i do like them.

Not completely in love with all harsh vox in many songs, but love the weight of the album (no pun intended). It's dense, atmospheric, etc. Also, probably guilty pleasure territory, but Celestial Tear is my favorite track.

Sound overall reminds me a little of Ghost Brigade's "Until the Fear No Longer Defines Us," one of my favorite albums of last year. They leaned a little more Katatonia in that one, but overall a great melodic death/doom/whatever listen.

Agreed, Celestial Tear is serious cheeseball territory, but I still like the song quite a bit.

Only faggots dont like harsh vocals, especially if they're that good

Also from a tidal sleep makes my Dick hard. The dudes growls go so deep
