If you're using Firefox, it can be configured to do this for you,
Or is this something that you want set in your account preferences so that it blocks images no matter what browser or device you use?
Do you just need to disable honeycomb images or everything?
I was asking for an account preference, but maybe this will work.
edit: although, I'll be SOL on Tapatalk
actually, Al it doesn't work. It blocks all of 5/8's images (smilies, avatars, etc) but the images within posts still show up.
yeah because those images are hosted here.
Gimme a sec. I'm sure there's an option in your user permissions, I'll have a look.
Guh. Nothing that I can see. Probably have to be something noxon looks at.
Just talked with him and there's no way to disable this for you. Looks like something like Al suggested will be the only way, sorry
This add-on works for all images: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/image-block/?src=userprofile.
If it's only a few images that you want to block, you could use AdBlock Plus and have it filter out those specific images.
or add a filter for the major websites like photobucket, imgur, etc
I support the above two posts. I was going to suggest selective AdBlock.
