during the week i drive like 2 hours a day and i figured i could use that time to do something productive. whats the best way to start? and what are some good albums to start singing along to with vocals with limited range?

It depends what your range is. I'd suggest learning what hitting notes feels like by singing to your guitar (I used a tuner at first) then you'll be able to tell whether you're hitting notes while singing along.

Find a singer you like and try and copy them. Chances are you won't sound too similar because of natural differences. Sing along to records etc

well songing comes more naturally to some than others, but one good idea is to put a finger in your ear. you can actually hear yourself better that way and you can tell how bad you currently are :) . always worse than you think the first time you do that. in no time, you'll be songing with the big boys though. maybe songing lessons, depending on what kind of songing you're trying to do.
