"Short" answer is that I grew up with parents that listen to classical music and I got introduced to rock/metal when I was 10-11 years old. Most of my friends during my teens were metalheads and I was "brainwashed" against rap (and many other genres). Later on I came to appreciate other music styles other than classic/metal/rock but rap didnt make the cut (along with the other styles I mentioned on the first post in this thread). Nothing against people who like it though. Many of my friends like rap (and hate metal) and we get a kick out of giving crap to each other
