Yo guitarists, I need to come up with a setlist's worth of songs in about a month but my band has no guitarist. We could make do with synths but, meh, synths are gay. Instead, I want to start with lots of raw guitar material and chop and shape and sample that shit into the songs (a la 'Boomerang' at the myspace link below). What I need is raw guitar material. If any of you could upload five to fifteen minutes of guitar improvisation (any style, any skill level, any key) as soon as possible, I would love you for a reasonable amount of time. The better the recording quality, the happier I'll be but I'm not particularly fussy. If you're of a mind to contribute, I'm not going to complain about anything. No problems if no-one can/wants to do it, but I thought it'd be silly not to ask. (Disclaimer: songs at the myspace = oldcore. I'm much better at my job these days.)
Hey. I could probably help. If you wanna post in this thread or PM me with more specific instructions I could probably be more helpful. I usually just record with a usb interface, which has virtual amplifiers via GearBox software. I'm assuming you want as good of a sound tone/eq as possible without having to editing it?
Yep. In regards to being more specific, though - I'm not looking for anything specific. Just a wide array of source material and styles to play around with. Anything you feel like doing or playing is absolutely fine with me. Key, tempo, time signature, genre - whatever suits, man.
Well, of all the gin joints... :P The sooner, the better, really. The gig's in a month and a half so the more time I have to work with material, the better. I know people have lives, though, so if you can manage anything by the end of September, I'll be more than grateful.
haha I checked out the track "Boomerang" cool stuff man. Can't wait to see what you'll do with the guitar tracks. I'll give you a good range of stuff to work with.( Distorted, clean, prepared guitar etc...) I'll try to get it done this week.
