Hopefully RP gets assassinated by the GOP soon so Garry Johnson can get some epic votes.

RP supporters are like juggalos. They may think they're cool and they definitely think that they're even making some kind of point, but ultimately no-one cares. This convention side show is like that time the Juggalos tried to stone Tila Tequilla. No-one gave a fuck, because it was just a bunch of self-righteous retards ganging up on a normal retard.

Rathma it's like you live in this country where Ron Paul didn't suspend his campaign and, along with his campaign staff, tell his supporters to shut up with all the rhetoric and stop being so mean to Mitt Romney.

    o wait that's true isn't it

If RP speaks at the convention, isn't he more or less endorsing Rmoney and the GOP's regressive platform?

It doesn't need to happen anymore. The minute Santorum dropped out and the chance of a brokered convention disappeared, Mitt Romney lost all incentive to actually give a shit about RP and his campaign. Romney doesn't need Ron Paul anymore. It's astounding that some people have had their faces behind his nutsack for so long that they won't even admit he's in the middle of ending his campaign to see if Romney will still throw him a bone regardless, maybe just to keep enough libertarians under the tent. I have no idea what his legionaries in such general election battle-ground states like Maine are doing, but it doesn't matter anymore. There has been talk that the revolution will continue without him. I hope it does. I'd love RP supporters to prove to me that this whole thing isn't just some glorified personality cult.

    The year is 2032.

You've managed to escape from the FEMA camp you were forced into after a false flag dirty bomb attack was used to enact nation wide martial law.

As you run desperately toward the horizon you choke on the air full of aluminum oxide. Routine chem trailing ensures that only Monsanto's genetically modified creations grow, preventing criminal dissidents from growing their own food supply.

As you reach the top of a small hill you come face to face with the military's latest patrol-bot. In a fraction of a second the machine's sophisticated camera and computer system analyze your face and scan the biometric data in your subdermal implant. Immediately the drone opens fire, cutting you down in a hail of bullets that were manufactured in China.

As you sputter out your final breath your one final thought is, "If only I had voted for Ron Paul…"

Mitt Romney is the Republican nominee, and Gary Johnson is the Libertarian nominee. GJ will be on the ballot in all 50 states. If Ron Paul doesn't tell his supporters to go out and vote for Johnson, he is a huge pussy with a meaningless message.

What I recall is that his minions begged and pleaded for him to run as an independent or a Libertarian, and he told them to fuck off. He sold his soul to the GOP years ago and won't budge from that allegiance. If he didn't endorse McCain, he didn't endorse anybody.

Yeah, the endorsement is there by virtue of the fact that it is nowhere else. The only reason he doesn't just come out and say it is to protect the "untainted" imagine of the politicians who's above playing politics image he has going.

Weren't you arguing that RP would endorse Romney so that Rand Paul would get special treatment? You can't pretend that a non-endorsement is the same thing as that lol.

    Source?

    Edit: Nevermind, http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog.php?view=547

Yeah, I did say that. And it made sense during the primaries. Romney might have needed Ron Paul to get himself over the edge on Santorum or Gingrich. But the minute Santorum dropped out, any use Paul had for Romney in the primary went out the window. Plus Paul support in the primaries never really materialized.

Regarding Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney, I would really like to hear Ron Paul’s opinion (in his own words) in order to try to piece together what has just happened. Honestly, when I heard the news, I felt like I do when I hear about the death of someone I admire.

I can understand if Ron Paul believes that the chances of winning the delegate race and the nomination has been diminished somewhat by unexpected results in certain states but you also have to believe that making a public announcement of it would only help to compound the problem. I can’t imagine seeing the people who are battling the establishment to become delegates at the remaining state conventions continue to fight for those positions with the same enthusiasm.
I am trying desperately to understand what is going on here, and I can only believe that both Paul’s are of the mindset that if they work from the inside, they can “at least” get some of our liberty agenda implemented; that something is better than nothing at all. My problem with this is that I simply cannot get onboard with people that I consider to be the enemy. Maybe I am not a forgiving person who is willing to give the establishment another opportunity to do a few things right in exchange for a laundry list of status quo undermining.

To be quite frank, I wanted to vomit when I first heard of Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney! Now, I can only say that I am so disappointed with him, especially for not waiting a little bit longer (than one day) after his father’s “essential concession” to tarnish Rand’s “once” good name.
I have to believe that one of the two Paul’s has been asked to be Romney’s VP, and that Romney is looking for the blessing of all of Ron Paul’s supporters in exchange, knowing that this is his only chance of beating Obama. I for one have a serious problem with Romney that would prevent me from pulling the lever for him under any circumstances. I will always see him as an empty-suit robotic clown, and the supreme master of flip-flopping. I also have an issue with Romney’s sanity and how that relates to having his finger on the nuclear button.

If Dr. Paul or his son want me to support Mitt Romney, they will first have to convince me that Romney is someone that he is not, and never will be. I have to believe that there are many Ron Paul supporters out there who feel as I do, and will not support Romney as the Republican nominee. I will not settle for second place. It’s either Ron Paul or nothing at all for me!

I think there is something more evil running in the background! Think about it… we haven’t herd from Ron Paul in a couple/few weeks. The Bilderberg meeting comes to Virginia last week and it is said that Mr Flip Flop himself was there. Who knows who else was there… they sneak in all the time and not everyone is seen. So lets imagine they got Rand and or Ron there. They tell them this is the way it has to be. Maybe Rand or Ron has had a family member kidnapped or threatened. These people are evil and I do not put anything past them. That does NOT sound like something Rand would say or do… come on people…. Mitt??? I doubt it very much that he would back stab his father like that. There is something more going on that we do not know and don’t see. With news like this… many are not thinking straight. I watched the Republican Texas Convention and listened to Ron Paul’s speech. Ron Paul did not sound to good. He also never mentioned anything about dropping out and or Rand endorsing Flip Flop Mitt. So something is going on and we will have to just wait and see. I say ONLY Ron Paul 2012 because america can NOT afford 4 more years of Obamney!

I honestly don't care. It's the same shit. Romney is really no more dangerous to the nation than Obama. If Santorum or some other nutbag had won the primary I'd be more gung-ho about supporting Obama. But Mitt Romney won, which is just a slightly more traditional take on what we have now.

Yeah, I honestly have a hard time figuring out what Romney would do which would compel me to prefer Obama. On the one hand, there actually is a possibility that Obama might turn into a democrat for his second term, which would be nice, but I find it just as likely that he feels safe enough to drop the entire charade and go full-bore neocon on us. The advantage to a Romney presidency is that people might actually start to give a shit about civil liberties again. At least when Dumbass was enslaving us people complained about it. When Obama fucks us, those same assholes dismiss it or even defend it. I'd at least like to hear some dissent, and quite frankly, the Republican complainers just sound like foil-hatted nutjobs, and they don't even seem concerned about a Communist Muslim stealing our freedom.

You guys have heard of the Supreme Court, right?

I'm not thrilled with Obama either, but his track record with SCOTUS appointees is excellent. We all know Romney will appoint right-wingers to the court. Do we really need to swing an already conservative court even further to the right for the next 25 or 30 years? You think Citizen's United is fucked up, wait until the court has a 6 to 3 conservative majority.

Who do you think he's going to replace? Ginsburg's the only one in play, and she'll be gone before Romney takes office. I think Thomas wants to retire, but he won't do it while Obama's in office, even if it means another 4 terms (or 12, for that matter). The rest of them are all there for a very long time.
