(good) long-ass (>7-8 minute?) tracks that kinda just chill the whole time/ maybe jog a bit

you know, not like faggy prog epics but more of an extended jus chillin' kinda feel. LCD Soundsystem were p good at that, Kashiwa Daisuke has his Stella thing that's great to chill to, and i could probably even vibe with something like Indoor Swimming at the Space Station. Oh and Panda Bear. Fuck yeah Bros

I mean, I could handle Anesthetized too. GY!BE aren't quite what i'm going for though. i'd prefer it to be more... song-y.

i've started looking for this specific type of stuff because it's just annoying sometimes to continue searching for new things when i'm in a shuffly mood. Something that won't leave too early, but also won't take me on an Overwhelmingly Epic Journey Into Fantasy Lands because i got more important shit to do while listening.

    Thanks.

P.S. Couleurs by M83 works great too. Hopefully someone will catch the feel I'm going for here.

oh yeah, i forgot to add-- i'd probably tend to check out the more well-known/widely-acclaimed bands/artists more quickly. sorry but that's just how i am.

The new Jon Talabot album (fin or whatever) would be great for this. I was doing some late night driving to it last week and thought about how good it would be to run to.

just check out the albums by Ben Sharp. Short tracks but they're like one long instrumental stream of consciousness that's perfect to listen to while you do other stuff.

Dat Karate track...UNF. Though I only really love it because of the outro being sampled by Bleubird live.

    Oceansize - Ornament/The Last Wrongs

this doesn't fit your description of "long-ass tracks", but w/e. It's the chillest song.

How about BT's "This Binary Universe?" I recall those songs being long and contemplative.

Just remember, there are a lot of DTfags around here, so 7-8 minutes is probably a "short-ass" song to most people :lol

Dunno if this is what you're looking for, but this Bear McCreary track is awesome. Actually I think BT's This Binary Universe is probably a great representation of what kind of music you're describing but I assume you are not a faggot and have already heard it.
