I enjoyed the season finale. To be honest, I started watching the last few episodes online on "Super Fan Mode" so I can just fast forward through the songs. I think I'm there for the drama.
I think I got about 8 episodes into the second season before I realised that I couldn't waste my life on this stupid show any more. In the first season it was funny and interesting, but after a while I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at the idiotic contrived plot threads, and Will is pretty much the gayest character ever conceived on television that hasn't actually turned out to be gay yet.
I must have heard wrong. What did Sam say to Finn when they were in the hotel room with Puckerman and Finn was saying he wanted to be with Rachel?
Yeah first season was great. This is terrible. Even the songs in the last half of this season have pretty much all have been terrible. I've skipped through most of them, and I don't even know why I'm watching the rest of it, considering the storylines are terrible too.
Good news, though. They're finally hiring a writing team. This show has been written by three writers for the last two seasons. They've added 5 new writers.
Maybe it won't be "Ryan Murphy avenges his tough gay childhood through Kurt Jesus Christ Hummel" anymore.
My favorite *Kurt's so amazing* moment is either at the wedding when everyone can't stop talking about him or when they find Sam and him at a motel and the first thing people say is "Kurt would never do that to Blaine." ... Nobody seems surprised that Sam is gay/bi/fucking kurt. Just that Kurt would cheat on his boyfriend.
The wedding episode is completely insane with Kurt worship. The Glee club sings "because you're amazing just the way you are" to him AT HIS FATHER'S WEDDING, and then his parents forgo their honeymoon to send him to private school where he will meet his dream boy. The only thing that wasn't "yay Kurt" was that Karofsky got away with bullying ... which was entirely unrealistic to anyone who knows about "zero tolerance" policies in public school since Columbine.
That whole episode is a mess. Trying to put something as big as a wedding into one episode just doesn't work. The Office and Scrubs did great jobs of leading into their respective big wedding episodes. Different shows clearly, but still.
Very fitting that the last episode discussed ITT is the wedding ep, since it was the worst of the series ... UNTIL TONIGHT!! Anyone watch? - Sue is pregnant for no reason - Karofsky tries to kill himself after being bullied (actually, this was the only "good" part ... depressing, but very well-directed) - PSA: DON'T BULLY ANYONE, BUT ESPECIALLY NOT GAYS! - Depression is tough - Horrible songs from all three competing choirs - Being gay is tougher than being pregnant because Kurt said so - Don't text and drive! - Don't get married when you're young! etc It was so painful. The fact that after the Karofsky "event" we literally had four teachers and the principle all spouting out one unified PSA was just horrendous.
I was actually considering bumping this just because I knew you would be embarassed. I caught Mercedes and the God-lovers talking about Karofsky killing himself and lol'd at how it all sounded like some terrible after-school special.
i stopped watching this show about 4 episodes into season 3 and it looks like i made the right choice
Yeah I stopped too although I watched The Spanish Teacher since it got a good review from AV club. That one was pretty good although still had some head-scratchingly terrible moments.
From what I heard it was really tame and the fanbase was disappointed... but then again, the glee fanbase has to be one of the worst groups of people on the planet. Anyways, bye-bye.
can any Gleeks tell me the context of this? I'm just curious: I mean it's cool that these guys got the extra press from being on Glee and all, but it looks like it was just a lame motivational/warm-up scene or something with no real scenario to fit the words
i like that some of the dudes i respect here on 5/8 who watched this show finally realized what a piece of shit it is and stopped
It was the "victory" song after the Glee Club won Sectionals. It's a tradition on the show, though IRL it's just an excuse to sing a non-story-related song.
i still enjoy a lot of the older episodes of the show. i didn't "finally realise" that the show was a piece of shit, the show just turned into a piece of shit.
Season 1 - good Season 2 - some good episodes Season 3 - Kurt is the second coming, every episode is terrible
Kurt was the second coming in seaon two actually. Season 1 had the back nine which is mostly just as bad as season 2, though the season 1 finale is absolutely fantastic and should have ended the show.
Look a the start date of that post. It was when the first episode aired. In the only subsequent post I have in this thread, I rectify my mistake. One of the worst possible shows in existence,
Yeah I didn't read the rest of the thread. I just expected you to make some brief, blunt, and derogatory post about the show and you didn't but it made me sad because this show is garbage.
I keep up with any show I watch more than like 3 or 4 episodes of. This season has been better overall, and tonight was REALLY good. Unfortunately, half the kids are "graduating" in-universe, and guess what they're doing? Splitting the show time 50/50 between the remaining glee club at McKinley and the graduated seniors moving on in New York. It's probably going to be awful and get canceled.
Naw dude that always works. Scrubs Med School ftw (lol) The first like... 4 episodes of season 3, I thought, were incredibly good. Then they started the trouble tones and shit went to hell, quality-wise. I did not hop back on for the second half of the season. I can't do it anymore. It's so mind-numbingly bad. I mean, I think this season at its worst is actually worse than season 2.
