fucking great album. i usually hate things like the end of "holy touch" yet somehow i adore it

"I Like It" is my favorite song off the album so far...don't like the chorus of "The Church of Rock and Roll" at all. Feel like this album is missing some of the hugeness/anthemic nature of the s/t, but we'll see how it shapes up.

It's very close. Very, very close. Fuck. Grows on me with each listen. And I find myself humming songs I didn't think I even memorized yet during the day.

2 listens, I could go either way.

I'll be seeing these guys live. Yes.

The new album is growing on me. I'll find myself with random parts in my head, like the chorus of Last Chance at Love, even though I thought I didn't like that song...these guys are just geniuses of making catchy music. I'm finding that they're taking more influence from other types of music; this is definitely their least rock album. I miss the hugeness of songs like Oh, Lord and Unstoppable from their s/t, but this is shaping up pretty well.

One of the best shows I've ever seen. Whoever put this tour together is brilliant (except the band before The Darkness and Foxy sucks a bit).

I have a weakness for cheesy pop songs with awesome guitars. Holy Touch and Last Chance at Love kill me.

I think all 4 of their albums are good to great. I don't really worry about how they rank. Each has its own sound and energy.

Excellent post. The first band sucked my dick and I wanted to strangle the front man. But Foxy and The Darkness killed.

I saw the darkness in like 2004 and I thought it was pretty gay, but that one guy with a moustache was pretty boss

Good Christ that was a blast. Seriously probably the most fun I've ever had at a show. So much energy.

The girl I was with is like, 4'10 and she didn't want to be up center stage so we snuck around to the side:


Zombie girl is not the girl I was with. I fucking love this venue. there's no barrier between the crowd and the stage. It was so packed that every other song the techs had to come and push the monitors back to the edge, because people were pushing to the front and squeezing in. No douchebags jumping on stage, no assholes throwing shit.

I had a pretty similar experience at one of their shows. Was awesome, of couse. It's always a blast seeing these guys live, I hope they keep their stage show so energetic for the rest of their career.
