So does that mean, say, that I can unlock dead silence perk (as an example) then later upgrade that perk so that it's completely silenced?
This is probably not going to make that much of a difference, for balance reasons. The perks will probably just start off not being very good, then build up to the level they were, or slightly higher, on cod4.
New Modern Warfare 2 footage captures the life of a flag runner Notice the lack almost complete lack of recoil on all the weapons he used. Was this the same for CoD4 too?
Wow that video was amazing. That right there is some wicked marketing haha. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duiSshDPFjs"]YouTube - Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Gameplay Flag Runner Official HD[/ame]
Multiplayer sounds like some sweet titties. That limited edition console is such a waste of time though.
Seems like the PC version is delayed for 2 weeks and still no info about it from IW/Activision. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee270/garandx/Delayproof.png
It's not just BestBuy, a lot of retailers did change it, there's a rumour floating around that IW/Activision haven't confirmed nor denied. And it started 2 days ago. 402 posted this on his twitter few mins ago http://twitter.com/fourzerotwo/status/4694670758 so hopefully it's a rumour.
Walked into Gamestop today to get NBA Live 2010. Walked out with a receipt for the Modern Warfare 2 360 Elite bundle. Goodbye 20 GB HD, hello infinite Rock Band Network catalogue.
Yeah I'm thinking of picking it up too so I have an xbox when I move in to halls. I still need to check if it's a good deal though, don't quite trust my brother on it.
So, finally some info. The PC version (for the 2 people here that care about it) will not be delayed. http://twitter.com/fourzerotwo/status/4942365785
It's so expensive, though. I bought just about every song I really wanted to play in Rock Band/Guitar Hero, and I've spent over $200. Anyway, good job on not buying Live.
Yeah they are turning MP on PC into pure shit. Definitely thinking of canceling at this point, saving the money for Bad Company 2. I'll wait and see. No mod tools, no maps, no mods, no dedicated servers, p2p = LAG. Fuck you IW.
One cool thing about living in Australia is that all of our ISPs run between 10 and 20 dedicated servers each, for every game.
LOL MOONMANG LOL YOUR PC WORLD COMES CRASHING DOWN IN FLAMES LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL OMFG PC IS SO SUPERIOR LMFAO OMFG LMFAO FUCK LMAO PRAISE TREYARCH, MY LORD AND SAVIOR LOL CONSOLE GAMING LOL LOL LOL
I did not listen to what you linked but from what I gathered from an article on the bashandslash (i think), it looks like an overblown rumor. I mean, Robert Bowling has said not too long ago that multiplayer on PC would be like it has always been and 3 weeks before release seems a bit late for such a big announcement. Also, nobody said that dedicated servers would not exist, only that some form of "match-making" could occur on PC multiplayer. Imagine something like this: -Both players and servers must "connect" through a centralized, IW-controlled service. On the player side, this would certainly help with the problem of piracy. Servers would be "monitored", allowing for player stat tracking and rating giving. We would not play through IW's system, only be connected to it. -Players would receive a rating based on their stats. -During the server creation process, a rating minimum, maximum or treshold could be set so that a server that is labelled as "for noobs" would truly be for noobs. In the server list, rating requirements would be a new filter, resulting in a sort of matchmaking system. -Rating requirements would be entirely optional. I realize such a system leaves a giant hole where mods used to be, but I'm sure something could be worked to fit them in. On the absence of dedi servers, I also don't think they would kill the whole competitive scene of the potentially best selling FPS game ever.
