Bacong, I understand. The same shit happened to me when I talked about how much worse season 4 of The Office was than its predecessors. People get really defensive on here when it comes to television. It's weird.
It bothers me that people put this show on such a high intellectual pedestal, as if it's so intelligent that it transcends normal television or something. It's just a fucking TV drama. It's not a documentary with insight that will change the world. The hardcore BB dickriders in this thread need to come off it and let other people have their opinions, which is why those of us who are critical have had to get so defensive and even sometimes elitist about it. This show is not the best thing ever created. If you like it, great. But don't bash other people just because they don't agree.
Bacong, when I made fun of benhagy's post, it was the sheer length, not the content. I lean towards your side regarding season 4. Therefore, your post has been discredited, please try again.
That was the point, James. That people didn't address the content and only addressed the sheer absurdity of the length.
With regards to the Walt/ricin conclusion, I don't mind that the author's didn't explicitly suss out what happened. Plenty of shit like that happens in TV and movies, and no one notices or cares. I'd be actually critical if it didn't make sense for the character to do it, but it did, so I don't see the problem.
White Jesus doesn't apply to the Afroamerican masses, that's what it means. He didn't die for blacks.
Do what I did and do nothing for the next 3~ days but watch BB and only sleep in small intervals to digest what you've seen.
(enters thread cautiously) i don't have the rest of them right now. but season 2 will be watched in a weekend very soon. (exits thread)
Did the Ted thing ever really get tied up? I think this series ends with Walt dead and Skylar/Hank eating a lot of the persecution that would have gone to Walt if he were actually alive. It's so selfish, so Walt. He can't turn into a likable protagonist in 16 episodes, and he can't stay in limbo for the final season. He has nowhere to go but down and they might as well go big or go home and let all the supporting cast get shit on by his actions.
It's been a while since I watched season 4 so I'm having trouble remembering some things. In particular, why would Walt try to poison Brock? What was his motive?
That's what I thought. I hate that. I think that's a pretty shitty subplot. I generally liked season 4 ok, but I think that's pretty dumb.
I just finished season 4. I watched the last five episodes in one sitting, and just finished. I haven't the words to describe how awesome that shit was. In regards to the final scene, it's like he said, "I won." Desperate times call for desperate measures. The ends justifies the means. I am totally in support of Walter White and every move he made in this series. Besting Gustavo Fring was a huge undertaking. I mean, you see in the episode where they go to Mexico. The man is an evil as fuck, but you gotta respect his tact and class. That's what I love about this show. You end up having so much respect for both the players, and that's what makes the game so intense. I had a really hard time with the beginning of this season, but it definitely pulled through and did NOT disappoint.
I do not respect Walter White because he is a fucking douche bag. I really hope the series ends with him dying and thinking "what the fuck have I done?" All his choices have been more about his foolish pride than about helping his family. He's an ass.
His post doesn't say a single thing about whether he hates the show or not. Both of you are faggots. Well, SCF is, Asteroid may have been fucking around.
If I have to, I will go through your entire post history and highlight all the times you've been a faggot. fuck off badacock.
If you think Walt is a likable lead character and is being portrayed as some sort of hero then you are a fucking sociopath.
