I love this album, it stands out from the other ones released this year. Also, call me weird, but I enjoy falling asleep to it.

Yeah, so this is a pretty good album. Very soothing and sounds very pretty but I don't like falling asleep to it.

Both Bon Iver albums are basically all you need for when you're feeling stressed.

Listening to relaxing music when stressed actually pisses me off, I get angry. I need something aggressive when stressed to kick it out of me. Bon Iver is very good for after that period though, or when I need to concentrate.

For me, aggressive music has always made things worse when I'm feeling shitty. It just kinda adds fuel to the fire. But I guess everyone's different. I agree about the focus part, though. It's great for homework. I have a good Sigur Ros/Bon Iver playlist going now which is great for thesis writing.

Speaking of Sigur Ros, this might be one of the best recordings of music ever.

It absolutely adds fuel to the fire, but the fire burns out faster.

    LOL indeed.

Oh and apparently the suite he was wearing last night he bought previously on his way back from a hunting trip to meet his girlfriend. He had splattered blood on his clothes so he needed something nice. Thus sayeth the internet.

And lol at the shout out to Eau Claire, WI.

I'm surprised he won since he said in an interview previously he didn't give a shit about his grammy nomination.

I'm pretty bored with this album. It just seems pretty unimaginative, uncreative... very cliche pop music with annoying vocals, and it's not even that catchy. It even ends with a track that sounds like it's straight from an 80s soft-rock radio station.

It's not terrible, though, I give it 3/5.

I get annoyed when he does the whole "oh yeah we're an indie band, I almost forgot the horns"... then annoying horns come in.
I need to rant about indie horns one of these days.

Do you even listen to technical indie prog pop?

I'm being serious btw. If this is up someone's alley for chilling out then whatever, but the praise (and even just the descriptions) I've read ITT and elsewhere are baffling and seem to describe totally different songs then what I've heard so far.

So basically Justin Timberlake's impersonation of him on that SNL skit is what I think of him.

Actually, another comparison that weirdly came up in my head was "I Was A Lover" from that TV On The Radio album ... I hated that song too but again the album and band were really highly praised.
