Is it? Have their been any recent polls of this lately? I know for awhile this was a cultural norm, but I'm not so sure it's completely true nowadays.
I'm not quite sure where the idea of men being obsessed with blondes comes from. Every internet poll I've ever seen indicates the opposite.
I've moved to a different part of town for a week and now all I see are Asians and bleached blonde girls with fake tan. Feels bad man.
I think these perceptions might arise in a society where blondes aren't a big part of the population. I mean, even in the states, many people's hair go from blond to a darker shade or brown over time. This might be a reason blondes are viewed as being immature, which seems to the general idea of the reasons. I am not sure the same would be the case here, where there are so many blondes, but I don't know really.
Most of the female chavs I know are blonde or dye their hair blonde. I think that's why I'm biased towards darker hair.
When it comes to men, I don't really care, but for women I picked brunette. I like the dark hair/ light eyes combo best. That being said I'm quite content with my own natural haircolour (blonde) and wouldn't change it.
Brunettes and black hair. I don't know how exactly, but it's as much of a personality thing as a looks thing. You'd figure hair color has no REAL effect on personality but I swear, I almost never meet blondes or redheads who have a personality that appeals to me.
I like blondes and brunettes, but I've never seen a red-headed chick who did much for me. Mostly it's because they're usually freckly and Irish looking.
I like girls with glasses less because I don't want my kids to be blind. I have better than 20/20 vision and don't want those genes to disappear from the universe.
