Angry Birds takes up 30% of my battery. Another 30% for my screen. That leaves 40% for gtalk.

I wish Android had a Netflix app for viewing. Fuck. Jealous of iPhone owners.

It's also funny how this will only work with older iPhones.

Apparently while its possible to do, you don't get any actual functionality out of it. Saying that though I'd probably have done it if I still had my iPhone

It looks like today is the rumored day for the Gingerbread launch, we'll see if that pans out.

Okay, maybe not "no functionality", but there are some problems worth noting:

Oh and triple fucking post because here's the Google Nexus S:

Interesting that they've chosen Samsung to build the successor to the Nexus One, which was a HTC build.

I'm also hearing some talk about Gingerbread being pushed to the Nexus One soon, if not today. As an unbranded HTC Desire owner, that's pretty awesome news as they're virtually the same phone - shouldn't be long before we see it released on that device :glee

today was the rumored day, alas no word yet, the nexus on that pic is running gingerbread and made a brief appearance on best buy website featuring it. i guess google wasn't ready for the launch and best buy dropped the ball. maybe they are waiting for monday.

Well...I'm kinda of sick of waiting for the Froyo update on the Vibrant. I've been reading on various forums that it wont get it. Which is making me rage at Samsung because its my second Samsung android phone that has not kept up with the Android market.

Anyways I'm going to attempt to root my phone and hopefully it works. I just don't know where to start.

Also after this phone I don't think I am going to get another Samsung phone. EVER.

Here's the Wiki for CyanogenMod, which is the most popular one out there at the moment. It'll guide you through what you need to do:
    http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Full_Update_Guide_-_Samsung_Galaxy_S_(Vibrant)

However before doing that, I suggest reading this, if all you want is 2.2:

This is the major problem I have with Android phones. People love buying the shit out of them but so many companies just slap the android name on inferior products, or don't even ensure the product will have future compatibility with the OS.

So Verizon peeps, what are your thoughts on the Samsung Fascinate vs the Droid 2? I may be switching over to Verizon soon and these are the two phones I'm eyeballing.

It certainly is not an Android... but DO WANT! Mozilla Seabird 2D (just the concept)

Or watch it in 3D by (supposedly) crossing your eyes. I didn't know YouTube had this feature.

i think it's just a concept video with android used for ideas, i'm guessing mozilla would come up with a competitor to google instead of using their system. great ideas as far as the projector is concerned though, i would buy that phone.

Samsung have a history of saying "YES DEFINITELY" in one country while saying "OH MAYBE NOT ACTUALLY SURE YET" in others. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.

My HTC Desire however, will more than likely be getting it, and soon :glee

Are you getting a Desire or the new Desire HD?

Either way, the Desire is such a sexy beast
