I like Anathema's lyrics. I'm not listening to anything from the album til I get this shit in my hands and can hear the whole thing, but I'm glad to see positive responses!
Wow, that song is beautiful. Unfortunately, Anathema's lyrics really are pretty atrocious most of the time. Almost as bad as Dredg.
True, but their music is so much better than most bands that it's unfortunate to have it spoiled in such a way.
Agreed. Also, what the hell is up with that weird vocal effect at 4:49 and again at 5:05 on GOoOoooOoOooO.
I've only heard TPTPTD so far (I know, I'll get around to the others), but what's so bad about their lyrics?
VITTU. Why the fuck is Suomi so fuckin advanced with Spotify. Better question, why is Germany so fuckin far behind.
really liking it so far, a lot of vocals by lee douglas which is nice. i gotta leave work soon though so i won't have time to listen to the whole album now.
oh FUUUUUUU. I'm in my office I don't have Spotify here. I WILL FUCKING DOWNLOAD SPOTIFY AND FUCK THE CONSEQUENCES
The songs are so UPLIFTING. So far anyway. They also seem to be quite fond of pretty little acoustic sections too.
This was prty kewl. Didn't change my life or anything though. Untouchable Part 1, The Lost Child, and that bit that sounds like Pure Reason Revolution were probably my favourites.
This is really nice so far, but on first listen it's not lighting my world up the way We're Here did. Only 4 tracks in though, hoping it stays strong for the rest.
As soon as this track finishes I will have about 25 minutes to spin this before I go to work. I can't wait.
After 2 listens, my favorites are Untouchable Part 1, Lightning Song, The Storm Before the Calm, and Internal Landscapes.
I'm not a fan of Anathema's lyrics since they stopped being dark. Way too self-helpy sounding. But it goes well with the music so...
Ouch. The vocal parts during the first three minutes of The Storm Before the Calm... What the fuck were they thinking? Other than that, this album is really good. Different from the last one, which I love, but still amazing.
